SITUATION ANALYSIS -- 128

Jerusalem, Israel

MAY 2018 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

PERFECT STORM COMING!

(1)  According to Israel’s generals, intelligence shows Iran is planning an attack on Israel’s northern border. Several reasons:

(a)  Israel will not allow Iran to develop its military bases in Syria. Iran said it would retaliate against Israel for continuing to attack its bases. Then, on April 29th, there was a major attack not only Iran’s Syrian bases, but also against its advanced weapons in Syria. Israel did not claim to have carried out that attack. But, it is assumed.

(b)  Iran is embarrassed because of the Israeli Mossad’s intelligence grab of more than 100,000 documents obtained, and 183 CD’s with damaging evidence of Iran’s secret nuclear program.

(c)   If the U.S. pulls out of the Iran nuclear deal, and orders sanctions against Iran, this would be a reason for Iran to attack Israel.

ASSUMPTIONS:

Israel will continue its pre-emptive strikes against Iran in Syria, which could escalate into a full-blown war.

Israel has not gone to war with Hezbollah in Lebanon since 2006, and Hezbollah now has, reportedly, 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel. Israel will not allow this to happen by Iran in Syria.

Israel must maintain the balance of power on its northern border and keep its QME (Qualitative Military Edge) over its enemies.

IRAN’S ADVANTAGE NOW:

(1)  Advanced Air Defenses
(2)  Armed Drones
(3)  Ballistic and Precision-made Missiles

DATES:

The Sons of Issacher understood the times and seasons that they were living in and could discern and have insight into what might happen (1 Chronicles 12:32)

(1)  May 12: Trump’s decision on the Iranian nuclear agreement. Will America stay in?  Or, get out? Will Congress apply stiff economic sanctions against Iran? (The reason for Netanyahu revealing the secret documents in such a public way, may have been to persuade American public opinion to be tougher on Iran, and to support Trump’s future decision). Trump and the Europeans may establish sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program.

(2)  May 14: U.S. Embassy move. (Palestinians in the West Bank could revolt). The Israeli generals expect and are prepared for an escalation.

(3)  May 15: Explosive!  Hamas in Gaza has declared war on Israel in the South on that day:

(a)  Expected to attempt to bring 100,000 Gazans to the border with Israel
(b)  Wants to break through the fence
(c)   Wants to take over settlements
(d)  Wants to kidnap an IDF soldier

DANGEROUS FRONTS WHERE THE ENEMY WANTS TO BREAK ISRAEL’S DETERRENCE:

(1)  SYRIA (Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, President Bashar Assad’s army, Shiite Militias, and a military “cover” by Russia). Iran is trying to build 200 military bases in Syria.

(2)  LEBANON (Hezbollah is expected to be strengthened in the upcoming Lebanese elections. They could use their military might to join their fellow Israel-haters in Syria).

(3)  GAZA (Israel’s southern border, with Hamas terrorists operating, as well as Islamic Jihad and others. They want to, successfully, breach the fence. In the international community, there is public sympathy towards the Palestinians because Hamas is using children as “human shields”; and because of “fake news” media reports.

(4)  WEST BANK (possible Palestinian escalation stirred up by U.S. embassy move)

U.S. DIPLOMATIC SUPPORT:   If Israel takes military action, it needs the U.S. to veto condemning legislation that is likely to be brought forth in the United Nations Security Council.

Other information:

The Knesset just passed a law that gives the Prime Minister, in consultations with the Defense Minister, the authority to declare war, without a full security cabinet vote. This is an important step in light of the current “high alert” situation in the land.

Nations that are planning to move their embassies to Jerusalem which could endure attacks in the future:

(1)  Guatemala (already did move its embassy)
(2)  The U.S.
(3)  Paraguay
(4)  The Czech Republic

Israel will give special incentives to the first 10 embassies that move to Jerusalem!
The close alliance between Israel and the U.S.:

(1)  Under this U.S. Administration, it extends not only to strategic military cooperation, but also to diplomatic cooperation.

(2)  The close alliance is very important as this can bring stability to the Middle East (which did not happen under the Obama Administration).

(3)  During the Obama years:

(a)   Iran was strengthened militarily
(b)  Shiite forces were able to gain dominance in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria
(c)   Russia became a new power-broker in Damascus, Syria

(4)  The Trump Administration is changing the rules of the game because of greater unity, so far, with the Netanyahu government. However, Trump is using “leverage” against Israel, and a clash of interests could follow:

(a)  He says he supports Israel in its military struggle against Iran in Syria, and will even supply arms to Israel.

(b)  The Trump U.S. embassy move is to curry favor with the Israeli people.

(c)   But, Trump then expects Israel to give up 4 Arab neighborhoods to the Palestinians, so they can establish their capital in Jerusalem. The Netanyahu government, in its current make-up of politicians, will never agree to this.

PRAYER POINTS:

(1)  PULL DOWN THE STRONGHOLDS! Pray for confusion in the enemy camp. (Exodus 23:27). “I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion, every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.”

(2)  PRAY THAT THE SCHEMES OF THE ENEMY – FROM IRAN’S GOVERNMENT ESPECIALLY – WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXPOSED. (Psalm Chapter 35).

(3)  PRAY THAT THE NATIONS WILL SURRENDER TO GOD’S PLAN AND WILL. (Psalm Chapter 2).

(4)  PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL PROTECT THE BORDERS OF ISRAEL AND GIVE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE WATCHMEN.  (Ezekiel 3:17). “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so, hear the word I speak, and give them warning from me.”

(5)  PRAY THAT MORE NATIONS WILL MOVE THEIR EMBASSIES TO JERUSALEM, TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH ISRAEL. (Genesis 12:3)

(6)  PRAY THAT – AS THE MOUNTAINS SURROUND JERUSALEM, SO THE LORD WILL SURROUND HIS PEOPLE, NOW AND FOREVERMORE! (Psalm 125:2).

SITUATION ANALYSIS -- 127

Jerusalem, Israel

JANUARY 2018 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

*The U.S. is advancing a peace proposal that will include the Palestinian and Arab States. The Palestinians are rebuffing the U.S. as a peace “broker”, refusing to cooperate. Is this stand-off good for Israel or not?

Israel is usually interested in the process of peace, but not peace proposals that tie the Israeli government into compromising “land for peace”. Pray that any proposal that compromises Israel’s land not be allowed to surface. Ask the Lord to make all plans of the enemy “null and void”. Be aware of false prophets promising a peace plan that will come against God’s purposes for Israel.

Ezekiel 13:10: This will happen because these evil prophets deceive My people by saying, 'All is peaceful' when there is no peace at all! It's as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!

*Israel had 3.6 million tourists visit the land in 2017. An estimated 4 million tourists are expected to visit this year, a record breaking number. With the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence coming in April 2018, more hotel rooms are being built; and, plans are underway to take care of the increase in tourism. Israel has also been experiencing relative peace in the past several months. However, there were more rockets fired from Gaza into Israel in 2017 than in the previous two years. The enemy is showing signs of wanting to disrupt the calmness in the land.

Proclaim Psalm 4:8 for the people of Israel, especially those who are in towns and cities that border Gaza: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Jesus is the real peace; the Prince of Peace for Israel! Declare: John 14:27 over the people and the land: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

*Pray for 2018 to be a peaceful year for Israel, especially during the week of April 18-19 when the events for Israel’s birthday will be happening.

Speak Isaiah 14:7 over Israel and the nations: “All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing.”

*God is raising up a new prophetic community in Jerusalem. He is using the mouths of His people to declare His good works; and, to warn the Body of Messiah of being “lukewarm”. The Lord is calling His people to greater holiness. Pray for continued unity among the congregations and the believers in Jerusalem and throughout the land!

John 17:21: “I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one -- as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us, so that the world will believe You sent Me.”

*American Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly traveling to Egypt, then Jordan, then Israel. He is expected to be in Israel on January 22-23.

Pray that as he talks to the leaders who have peace treaties with Israel, they will line up with God’s Word and his plans for Israel and the nations.

*Jordan’s King Abdullah and his Parliament have increasingly spoken out against Israel. Jordan is aligning itself with Turkey and other states that do not serve the best interests of Israel.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is vowing to create a new alliance of Muslim countries that will stand in defense of Jerusalem, while at the same time, he continues to speak against the U.S. and Israel.

Recently, Jordan’s Interior Minister toured the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Jordanian leaders have declared that U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements on Jerusalem violate international law. They are enforcing their control over the Temple Mount through the WAQF (the Jordanian Trust). They see themselves as the guardians of Christian and Moslem holy sites.

But, our GOD is the guardian over Jerusalem. Ultimately, He controls the Temple Mount where His Temple was built and will be built again! Jerusalem is a stumbling block for the nations!

Zechariah 12:3: “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”

Read Psalm 83 about what will happen to those who form an alliance against the Lord and against His nation, Israel. There will be judgements on Edom, Ammon, Moab – places that are located in Jordan. There will also be judgements against the Ishmaelite’s (which today mostly represent Sunni Moslems); Philistia (where the modern-day Palestinians claim they get their roots from); Tyre (now under Lebanon’s rule); Assyria (which is part of Syria and Iraq today); and other places mentioned in that Psalm.

While standing on the Lord’s side, knowing that there are enemies who form a confederation against His Holy Land, declare God’s sovereignty over Israel.

Psalm 68:32-35: “Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the Lord.  Selah! To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice. Ascribe strength to God; His majesty is over Israel, and His strength is in the skies. O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!”
