MAY 11, 2020 PRAYER UPDATE
Israel and the Nations
*PRAISES TO GOD:
Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You
have done, and the plans You have for us – none can compare to You – if I would
proclaim and declare of them, they are more than could be numbered. (Psalm
40:5)
How great are Your works, O LORD; how deep
are Your thoughts. (Psalm 92:5)
The Lord placed His throne in heaven; He
is King over all! (Psalm 103:19).
The LORD, the Most High, is to be feared;
He is a great king, ruling over all the world. (Psalm 47:2).
God is wonderful to His saints: the God of
Israel is He who will give power and strength to His people. Blessed be our God.
(Psalm 68:35).
*THE NEW ISRAELI GOVERNMENT/POLITICIANS,
POSITIONS, AND PORTFOLIOS
It’s been more
than 500 days since the political turmoil began in the Israeli government in
December 2018. Officially, in just a few days, we will have a 2-headed
government. Benjamin Netanyahu will serve as Prime Minister for 18 months, and
Benny Gantz as Vice Prime Minister. Then, there will be a rotation, and they
will switch positions.
On May 24th,
Netanyahu formally begins his court hearings on indictment charges. The law
specifically states that Netanyahu can stay in office during the court
proceedings.
A vast majority
of Israelis support the formation of this new government.
What is happening
now is that portfolios are being given out by Netanyahu and Gantz. So far:
Benjamin
Netanyahu: Prime Minister; Benny Gantz: Vice Prime Minister/Defense Minister;
Gabi Ashkenazi: Foreign Minister; Yuli Edelstein: Minister of Health; Speaker of
the House: Yariv Levin. Gilad Erdan: the unusual title of both the Israeli
Ambassador to the U.N., and the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S.;
There has been
bitterness between the right-wing Zionist party, Yamina, and Netanyahu. In
fact, it was Naphtali Bennett that helped Netanyahu during his campaign for
Prime Minister. But, they have been at odds with each other all along. So, at
this point, Yamina will sit in the Opposition, which is unusual for a
right-wing party of a right-wing government.
We pray for both Yamina leaders and
Netanyahu, according to Leviticus 19:18, “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people,
but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”
*PRAYER FOR THE NEW CABINET THAT IS
FORMING NOW:
Proverbs 16:9:
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their
steps.”
Job 12:13:
“With God is wisdom and might and power; Counsel and understanding are His.”
*SOVEREIGNTY/ANNEXATION:
This is the next issue on the Israeli political agenda. It could be a
battle for Israel with the Trump Administration as to when Netanyahu and Gantz
can actually implement an annexation plan. The maps of the settlements, as
promised by the U.S., are not ready. Everything with annexation is conditional
on Israel’s willingness to sit down with the Palestinians at the peace table,
as well as freeze growth in certain areas of the settlements for 4 years while
the Palestinians decide when and if they want to begin peace negotiations with
Israel.
Netanyahu could annex 30% of the land, as he has had a go ahead from
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who will be in Israel this Wednesday, May
13. However, it is likely that Netanyahu will not do anything that would cause
the Middle East region to come under fire.
Analysts claim that if there is signaling from Jordan and neighboring
Arab nations that annexation is a game changer, Netanyahu will not move forward
to implement the full plan. He may go for Israeli sovereignty over some of the
settlement blocks in a 10% annexation at this time. By July 2020, Israeli political
commentators think that Israel will designate that the entire Jordan Valley is
under Israeli sovereignty.
We are asking the Lord to remember His promises to Israel which have
to do with biblical sovereignty.
DECLARATIONS:
We proclaim these promises that
the land from the Euphrates River to the Great Sea sovereignly belongs to the
Lord, who, through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has given Israel stewardship of this
land, in Jesus name!
God, Your Word states, in Exodus
23:31 that this land called Israel has a promise to the Jewish People, and
that promise by You is in this statement: “I
will make the borders of your land extend from the Gulf of Aqaba to the
Mediterranean Sea and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give you
power over the inhabitants of the land, and you will drive them out as you
advance.”
We pray for the Palestinian
people, that they may come into a relationship with the One True God of Israel,
and to a saving knowledge of His Son, Jesus, the Messiah. We pray they will
receive revelation about this land covenant between Israel and the Lord, and
abide by it, so they do not have to be driven out of the land.
Lord, in Psalm 2 You say
to your Son in verse 8, “Ask of Me,
and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth
as Your possession.” We thank You God for that promise to Yeshua, the Messiah.”
We declare and decree Your
Word, O LORD Almighty, as spoken in Leviticus 26:42: “I will remember My covenant with Jacob and
with Isaac and with Abraham, and I will renew My promise to give My people the
land.”
We decree what You state, Lord,
in Leviticus 25:23: “The land must not be sold permanently,
because the land is Mine, and you reside in My land as strangers and sojourners
with Me.”
While the Trump Peace Plan
seems like a good idea to men, You Lord are known to frustrate the plans of the
nations. You thwart all their schemes. You make the plans of the peoples and
the nations of no effect. Many are the plans in men’s hearts, including Middle
East advisors to President Donald Trump, as well as his U.S. Ambassador to
Israel David Friedman. Many are the plans in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu’s heart, as well as his ambassador to Washington, Ron Dermer.
But, Your Word, Lord, says that
Your purposes will prevail. Yes, Your purposes will be established and You will
accomplish all You intend to accomplish.
According to Psalm 33:11, Your plans Lord, stand firm forever, the
purposes of Your heart through all generations. Your intentions will never be
shaken. Your everlasting counsel is what we seek!
We proclaim that Israel is Your
nation, whose God is the LORD, the people You have chosen for Your inheritance.
We pray that Israel will obey
Your voice and keep Your land covenant, and that Your Chosen Ones will remain
Your treasured possession out of all the nations, for the whole earth is Yours!
We remind You Lord, that Deuteronomy
7:6 speaks of Your promises to Israel:
“For you are a people holy to the
LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His prized
possession, above all peoples on the face of the earth.”
So, we ask You Lord, to save
Your people, Israel, from their sins, and bless Your inheritance. Shepherd them
and carry them forever, as You promise to do in Your Word (Psalm 28:9).
For Your Word says, over and
over again, that You have chosen Jacob to be Your own, and Israel to be Your
treasured possession. And, we stand in agreement with this biblical promise (Psalm
135:4).
We proclaim that there will be
no way that Your land will be given to another people to steward. And, we
declare that any plans of the wicked in the nations, to divide Your land, will
not succeed, in Jesus name
PRAY THAT ISRAEL WILL KEEP
COVENANT WITH GOD AND NOT GIVE UP THE LAND!
Joshua 1:4: “Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon,
and from the great river, the Euphrates – all the Hittite country – to the
Mediterranean Sea in the West.”
Genesis 17:9: “Then God said to Abraham, ‘As for you, you must keep My
covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come.’ ”
Psalm 25:10: “All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such
as keep His covenant and His testimonies (His decrees).”
Psalm 103:17… “But, from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is
with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children;
with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts.”
*COVED-19:
There is now an ease of
restrictions in Israel, with a June 14th date set for everything to
return to the “new normal” (still required to wear masks). There are always
warnings that we could return to restrictions again, maybe as early as this
fall.
God says, in Psalm 50:15,
“Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will
deliver you, and you will honor Me.”
Our righteous Lord we pray that
you give your people throughout the globe relief from their distress. Have
mercy on them, and hear their cries; hear their prayers.
Psalm 3:4: “To the
LORD I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy hill.”
The vaccine may be required for
every person in every nation, with governments demanding it, and saying it is
the only cure. But, we look to the LORD our God for the cure.
Psalm 18:18: “They
confronted me in my day of calamity, but the LORD was my support.”
Psalm 18:19: “He led
me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me.”
God wants to deliver people
from their darkness, stress, fears, everything!
We need to call on Him for His deliverance… for those who know Him and
those who don’t!
What is happening in your
nation and among pre-believers? Are
people honoring the Lord? Are they calling on Him in their day of trouble?
Please pray for Israelis and
for the citizens of your nation, state, and city…
DECLARATIONS IN DEALING WITH
THIS PLAGUE:
We declare to the people of the
earth, according to Revelation 14:7: “….
Fear God and give Him glory, because the house of His judgement has come.
Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
WHAT CAUSED THIS PRESENT DAY
DARKNESS?
Was this caused by the enemy’s dominion on the earth? Or, was this
plague allowed because God allowed it? Who is in charge here? Answer:
Daniel 4:35: “All the
peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the
army of heaven, and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain
His hand, or say to Him, “What have You done?”
Isaiah 14:24: “The LORD
Almighty has sworn, “Surely as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have
purposed, so it will happen.”
Isaiah 14:26-27: “This is
the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over
all nations. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His
hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”
THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL BIBLICAL PLAGUES
SENT BY THE LORD:
*The 10 plagues sent on the
Egyptians because Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go worship the Lord.
*Another plague that Moses had
to navigate through in Numbers 16:46-49: “And Moses said unto
Aaron, ‘Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on
incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them:
for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.’ So Aaron did
as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already
started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for
them. He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.”
*The plague sent by the Lord on
the Israelites because of David’s sin in 2 Samuel 24:15: “So the LORD sent a plague on Israel from
that morning until the end of the time designated, and 70,000 of the people
from Dan to Beersheba died.”
DECLARATION:
Lord, we acknowledge that this
plague could have been Your hand of judgment upon all the nations. We declare
that You have made kingdoms tremble. That man’s pride has been brought low,
despite the cleverness of his hands. That You are the LORD, the God of all
mankind. You can completely stop this plague now, and not allow it to come back
in the future. Nothing is too difficult for You!
