Israel and the Nations

 

PRAISE TO GOD FOR HIS PEOPLE, ISRAEL, AND HIS MERCY ON THEM!

Isaiah 43:21:  “I have made Israel for Myself, and they will someday honor Me before the whole world.”

 

1 Peter 79:13: “Then, we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever; from generation to generation, we will declare Your praise.”

We proclaim that this day. All honor and glory be to Our Lord and King and Savior, Yeshua!

 

Luke 1:71-75:  “He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David. Just as He promised through His holy prophets long ago. That we should be saved from our enemies and from all who hate us. He has been merciful to our ancestors by remembering His sacred covenant; the oath He swore to our father Abraham; to rescue us from the hand of our enemies; and to enable us to serve Him without fear; in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.”

 

We pray that even now, Lord, Your People Israel would receive salvation through Yeshua, and also be delivered from their enemies. Thank You for remembering Your covenant with Your nation; Your promise through Abraham. Thank you for rescuing us and for allowing us to come to You and serve You with all reverence. Thank You for the change of focus in this nation – to humble ourselves before You, as a people, desiring to honor You in holiness and righteousness, before You, for all of our days.

 

We ask for, and receive forgiveness, Lord, of national and personal sins.

 

REPENTANCE ON BEHALF OF ISRAEL:

Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”

 

Isaiah 43:25:  “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

 

We are forever grateful Lord for Your saving grace!

 

Micah 7:28: “Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance – who does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in loving devotion?”

 

Micah 7:19:  “He will again have compassion on us He will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast out all our sins into the depths of the sea.

 

It is at this time Lord that we remember what You did for us; this time when not only did You deliver us from Pharaoh and all his ways; not only did you take us out of Egypt and into the Promised Land; but, You saved us from eternal destruction through Your Son, Yeshua!

We pray and repent on behalf of Your People Israel; as this people, have not listened to the LORD our God, nor followed His ways!

THESE ARE GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE – DESPITE THEIR SIN, THERE IS GOD’S FAVOR AND PROMISES TO ISRAEL. HE PARTED THE RED SEA FOR THEM DURING THE EXODUS; DURING THIS TIME OF PASSOVER – THE DEATH ANGEL PASSED OVER!

Isaiah 44:1-: “But, now, listen, Jacob, My servant, Israel, whom I have CHOSEN. This is what the LORD says – He who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid Jacob, My servant, Jeshurun, whom I have CHOSEN.”

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.

 

Some will say, ‘I belong to the LORD’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The LORD’s,’ and will take the name, ISRAEL.

 

This is what the LORD says – Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I Am the last; apart from Me there is no God.”

 

Lord, we celebrate the Feast of Passover, not by eating the old break of wickedness and evil, but by eating the new bread of purity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:8). Cleanse us Lord and we will be cleansed. Heal us Lord and we will be healed!  Save us Lord and we will be saved!  For we choose You above all else!

 

WHO IS LIKE GOD WHO TELLS US WHAT IS TO COME?

Isaiah 44:7:  Who then is like Me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before Me what has happened since I established My ancient people, and what is yet to come – yes, let them foretell what will come.”

 

We proclaim, based on this scripture in Isaiah 44:7:  There is none like You Lord. Only You can declare and lay out what has happened since You established Your ancient people, and what is yet to come. You will tell us, Lord… what is to come!

 

PRAYER FOR THE ISRAELI ELECTIONS:

We praise God for the privilege to vote; for every Israeli to see it as their duty to cast their ballot in what is a democratic process that works well in Israel. We pray that new and wise leadership will emerge, with leaders who seek good counsel.

 

Proverbs 11:14: “Without wise leadership, a nation falls. With many counselors, there is safety.

 

Proverbs 16:12: “It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.”

 

Isaiah 33:22:  “For the LORD is our judge; the LORD is our lawgiver; the LORD is our King; it is He who will save us.”

 

Psalm 75:7:  “It is God who judges: He brings one down; He exalts another.”

 

Psalm 111:10: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise!”

 

Thank You, Lord that You are already Israel’s King of Kings! Thank You that you direct the hearts of earthly kings, and guide them as You please (Proverbs 21:1).

 

As Israelis go to the poles now, let their votes reflect their heart’s desire to see leaders raised up with a Godly fear of the Lord. Let the people of Israel vote with humble hearts; with a sense of what is just and good for this nation. May they vote against corruption in high places, and vote for those leaders of integrity that want truth and honesty to prevail in this society.

 

Proverbs 15:22: “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors, they succeed.”

 

Proverbs 16:22: “Understanding is a fountain of life to its possessors; but, the instruction of fools is evil.”

 

Let Israeli politicians walk in wise counsel, with good advisors, understanding the ways of the Lord, and not receive instruction by fools who devise evil plots.

 

May the Lord watch over the new Israeli coalition, and give us a government through which He can best restore Israel and bring His purposes to rest on this country.

NATIONAL DEFENSE AND SECURITY IN ISRAEL:

There is a growing alliance between Turkey, Russian, and Iran in the Middle East region. Turkey is taking Iran’s side in a growing dispute with the U.S about Iran’s nuclear program. Turkey and Israel are already at odds with one another. Russia and Turkey are growing together as allies and partners. According to the Jerusalem Post (3/22/21), their goal is to supplant U.S. influence and divide up many areas of the Middle East between themselves. Turkey wants the advanced S-400 missile defense system from Russia. It is a long term goal of Turkey to find an accommodation with states in the region, and bring together its alliance with Russian and Iran. Is this increased tri-partnership part of the alliance mentioned in scripture in Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39?

 

Iran is using advanced centrifuges to enrich uranium at its underground nuclear facility at Natanz. It’s a further breach of Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with P5+1 nations. One of Israel’s greatest concerns is that Iran could use the underground facilities to achieve the “break out” point towards developing a nuclear bomb, even though Israel has warned the world that it will not allow Iran to go nuclear.

 

Israel is developing more relations with Arab states in the region, including Saudi Arabia, in an alliance against the Iranian threat. Saudi Arabia has not yet established formal diplomatic relations with Israel, but the two countries are getting closer behind the scenes.

 

The Bible talks about wars and rumors of wars. Israel is often preparing their defense operations during a time of rumors of wars. Nations are being tested as to whether they will join an Iranian alliance against Israel; or, an Israeli alliance against Iran.

 

It’s a time of greater intercession needed!

 

Daniel 2:21: “He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

 

Proverbs 16:33:  “We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.” (NLT)

 

Lord, it is all about Your timing in putting down unholy and ungodly alliances. And, it is all about Your timing in fulfilling Your prophetic word! And, it is all about intercessors watching and seeing as Your events unfold on the earth!

 

Isaiah 21:6: “This is what the Lord says to me: ‘Go, post a lookout & have him report what he sees.’ ”

 

Proverbs 20:18: “Set plans by consultation, and wage war under sound guidance.”

 

Proverbs 14:6: “Only with sound guidance should you wage war, and victory lies in a multitude of counselors.”

 

Psalm 141:9: “Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me.”

 

Keep Israel safe, Lord, from the wicked plans of nations and from the snares they are trying to lay for Your beloved chosen nation!

 

Rescue Israel, LORD, from evildoers; protect this nation from the violent who pursue her from both within and without; from those who plot evil in their hearts and stir up trouble all day long. Keep Israel safe, LORD, from the hands of those who would want to destroy her. Protect her from those who are plotting evil against Your holy land! Let Israel say to the LORD, ‘You are my God.’ Hear the cry of mercy from Your people, Lord, when it comes to a future conflict in the region. You are Israel’s Sovereign LORD, her strong deliverer. You shield and protect Israel in the day of battle.  Do not grant the wicked their desires, LORD; do not let their plans succeed (See Psalm 140:1-8).

FEBRUARY 16, 2021 PRAYER UPDATE

 

Israel and the Nations

PRAISE & THANKS TO GOD FOR HIS GREATNESS, POWER, AUTHORITY, AND PROTECTION OVER US:

Psalm 143:8:  Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life.”

 

Psalm 103:19: “The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.”

 

Psalm 47:2, 8: “How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth! God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne.”

Mathew 6:10: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

 

Daniel 2:37: You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.

 

We pray for Your Kingdom, Your government to rein on this earth!

PRAYER FOR THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT:

(1)    HUMAN RIGHTS:

 

*The government has been accused of infringing on human rights, freedoms, and civil liberties. The green passport is being rolled out this week. Only those who have taken the vaccine are able to go to concerts, gyms, hotels, and future travel outside the country. The airport has been closed for weeks. The country is sealed. There is a sense that the government is controlling the population and its borders.  

Recently, there has been a “push back” from Israeli citizens, which is not being widely reported. It’s about the vaccine, but also about the surveillance methods of the Israeli security services.

Israel is a signatory to the Nuremberg laws, especially regarding experimenting on humans. But, the Israeli Prime Minister, reportedly, made a deal with Pfizer (which he alluded to when he addressed the Global Economic Forum). Whatever deal he made to get millions of vaccines from Pfizer, he agreed to send Pfizer information regarding side effects and deaths, so Pfizer could improve their vaccine. Some would say that Israel became a country of people used as “human trials.” On Monday, the Israeli prime minister announced that he was negotiating with key COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine manufacturers, Pfizer and Moderna, on setting up production in Israel. He is also planning to procure tens of millions of vaccine doses for the coming years as the inoculation campaign in the country continues.

 

When the Knesset was in session in 2020, the government passed the Coronavirus Law. It basically allows the government to determine what is best for the nation in terms of Covid-19 lockdowns; openings and closings of businesses and schools; coercion and punishment methods regarding those who do not take the vaccine; and, others who do not quarantine when they are supposed to. The government is debating whether to make the vaccine mandatory. It has already gone further than Pfizer recommended in giving out the vaccine does (to pregnant women and children).

PRAYER POINTS:

Proverbs 19:21: “Many plans are in a man's heart, but the purpose of the LORD will prevail.”

 

Jeremiah 10:23: “I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not his own; no one who walks directs his own steps.”

 

 

We ask You Lord to guide the nation of Israel. Put Your words in the Prime Minister’s mouth. Guide those who cannot hear or see what Your purposes are for this nation!

 

 

Psalm 83:18: “May they know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are Most High over all the earth.”

 

 

 

(2)    ABOUT THE ELECTIONS:

 

At this time, half the country wants Benjamin Netanyahu to be prime minister again. But, the other half, including people on the “right” who were once in his political party, do not want him to become prime minister, again, after the next election.

 

 

We declare this scripture over the people of Israel:

 

 

Isaiah 30:21: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’ ”

 

Daniel 2:21: “He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”

As the elections fast approach, we trust You Lord to give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. It is for You to decide who will be leader over Israel in the upcoming elections!

 

The Israeli people need wisdom how to vote. Please put Your wisdom in their hearts, in Yeshua’s name!

 

 

Daniel 4:17: “This decision is the decree of the watchers, the verdict declared by the holy ones, so that the living will know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whom He wishes, setting over it the lowliest of men.”

ISRAEL-U.S. RELATIONS:

U.S. President Joseph Biden has not called Netanyahu since the transfer in power in the U.S. on January 20. This is reminiscent of the Obama years. It’s being reported that Biden is not going to appoint ambassadors until spring or even summer 2021. That means there will be little movement on diplomatic issues at a time when Israel needs American support, especially in EU and UN forums.  No one knows what Biden is going to do about supporting the Trump Administration’s deal regarding Israel’s diplomatic agreements with the Gulf Arab states. The U.S. has a part to play in those agreements.

 

There is also the Iranian nuclear deal – how will Biden respond to that? Israel is waiting on the foreign policy of the United States. But, so far, it appears that U.S. State Department policy is that Israel should not build in Judea and Samaria; and, that there must be a two-state solution.

 

PRAYER POINTS:

Pray that Biden will be guided and directed by God’s prophetic plans for this region, not man’s!

 

Micah 6:8:  “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

 

Proverbs 20:24: “A person's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way?

 

Proverbs 19:21: “You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.”

 

 We declare this for U.S. President Joe Biden!

SECURITY THREATS TO ISRAEL:

The security threats at this time are Iran and Hezbollah. Recently, we heard the constant sound of fighter jets practicing over Israel. Israel’s Air Force (IAF) has been conducting training exercises for the possibility of war in the north. The drill has been called “Vered Hagalil”, and has been designed to carry out the IAF’s readiness for combat in the north. The purpose of involving the IAF in this exercise is to maintain aerial superiority, protect Israel’s vulnerable skies, and to improve intelligence gathering.

 

PRAYER POINTS:

 

Thank You Lord for Your protection over Israel’s northern border!

 

We declare Lord, according to Psalm 31:3, You are Israel’s rock and her fortress. For the honor of Your name, lead Israel out of this present danger.”

 

Psalm 7:6: “Arise, LORD, in Your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.”

 

Psalm 62:8: “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.”

 

Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.”

 

Psalm 121:7: “The LORD will keep you from all harm-- He will watch over your life”

 

PRAYER FOR THE BODY OF MESSIAH LEADERSHIP IN ISRAEL:

We proclaim, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14 that from the Messianic leadership to the congregants, there will be heartfelt repentance in the land. As a result, we rely on You Lord, to hear the cries of Your saints, to listen to their prayers, and to heal this land!

Leviticus 19:2: “Speak to the whole congregation of Israel and tell them: Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.”

Exodus 19:5-6: “Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

 

 1 Peter 2:5: “You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus, the Messiah.”

 

1 Peter 2:9: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

We speak this, to the leadership in the Body of Messiah in Israel, who are in dispute. This is God’s order; this is above the doctrines of men; this is what the Lord God almighty wants to see in His people! We pray for the “unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace”…. that the believers will arise above their differences, into their calling and destiny in the Lord in the nation of Israel!

JANUARY 19, 2021 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

 

GOD IS IN CONTROL – FOCUS ON HIS PROMISES:

Isaiah 64:3-4: “When you did awe-inspiring things that we didn’t expect, You came down and the mountains quaked in Your Presence. From ancient times, no one has heard, no one has listened to, no eye has seen any God except You who acts on behalf of the one who waits for Him.” 

 

No one could imagine what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9b).

 

Isaiah 42:13: “The LORD will march out like a Champion, like a Warrior, He will stir up His zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and will triumph over His enemies.”

 

Psalm 66:3: “How awesome are Your deeds!  So great is Your power that Your enemies cower before You.”

 

Isaiah 44:8: “Do not tremble nor be afraid (of the violent upheavals to come). Have I not long ago proclaimed it to you and declared it?   And, you are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? There is no other Rock. I know of none.”

 

Isaiah 40:31: “But, those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”

 

Psalm 31:19:  “How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You. In the presence of everyone, You have acted for those who take refuge in You.”

 

Psalm 65:5:  “With awesome deeds of righteousness, You answer us. O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.”

 

SONG:

Psalm 18:3 (sing): “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

 

“The Lord liveth, and blessed be the ROCK and may the God of my salvation be exalted!” (Psalm 18:46).

 

AMERICAN INAUGURATION:

Intercessors have cried out, God has heard. He is allowing the turmoil, the chaos, the terror and the violence to be seen… for a purpose. It is boiling off the dross that has risen to the surface. The Lord is revealing the sin – of those who know Him and those who don’t. He is revealing the ills of a divided society. His Word says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, that if those who are called by His name (believers) will turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from heaven; forgive their sin; and heal their land. 

SO WE DECLARE IT SO!

 

We pray that Americans will cry out to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

 

1 Corinthians 14:33: “For God is not a God of disorder, nor confusion, but of peace -- as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.”

 

May God’s holy people hold up the United States of America against tyranny and every evil thing that exalts itself above the Lord.

 

We declare, regarding this coming Inauguration, “that everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner,” which is the will of God in Christ Jesus.

 

Bring order, God; bring Your peace.

 

John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled. Neither let them be afraid.”

 

Lord, according to Psalm 60:2: “You have shaken the land, and torn it open. Heal its fractures, for it is quaking.”

 

Heal Your land, Lord. Heal Your land!

 

Isaiah 30:26: “Moreover, the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the fracture of His people, and heals the wound they were struck with.”

 

And, holding up the intercessors in Washington, D.C., and throughout the States, we declare: Now, my God, may Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to their prayers offered at this time.

 

From heaven, Your dwelling place, hear their heart cries and their pleas, and uphold their cause.

 

And, among those Americans who do not know You… forgive Your people, who have sinned against You.  (2 Chronicles 6:39).

 

AMERICAN-ISRAELI RELATIONS GOING FORWARD:

Israel is going to elections on March 23, 2021. Israelis will have to adjust to a new government in Jerusalem, with the uncertainty of how the administration in Washington will deal with it.

 

Father, we thank you that regardless of whether the new Israeli government will have favor with America or not, You are committed to watching over Your covenant land, and Your covenant people…. now and forevermore.

 

Jeremiah 31:35-37: “It is the LORD who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night; and, who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what He says: ‘I will never forget to give those commands, and I will never let Israel stop being a nation. I, the LORD, have spoken.’ This is what the LORD says:  If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below explored, I will reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done – this is the LORD’s declaration.”

 

God, deliver Israel from any manipulation set in place by the U.S. Administration. Give Israeli leaders divine insights because of the alliance Israel has had with the United States; because of the strategic cooperation agreements between the two nations. Do not let Israel fall into a trap.

 

WE DECLARE: Psalm 124:7-8: We have escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free! Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

 

We pray that the Israeli government will walk in discernment in their dealings with the United States and other nations, not signing any documents that would try and thwart Your plans, Oh God. Let political leaders in Jerusalem be “wise as serpents and gentle as doves” dealing with America and the nations.

 

We declare that, as God gave to Solomon, He will give to the leaders of Israel – wisdom and knowledge.

 

MORE ON THE ISRAELI ELECTIONS:

2 Samuel 23:3-4  : “The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me: ‘When one rules over people in righteousness; when he rules in the fear of God; he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning; like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.”

 

We declare such righteous leaders over Israel. God put men who reverently fear You in power in this nation. Let Your light shine before men. Let it shine through the nation of Israel to other nations. May Israel walk in its destiny, as a light to other nations, because Your light shines within the leaders of this country. May that transformation take place before Israelis go to the polls in March.

 

Proverbs 12:2: “Good people obtain favor from the LORD, but He condemns those who devise wicked schemes.”

 

Jeremiah 3:15: “Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.”

 

LORD, we pray that citizens of this land will be kept safe as they focus on You, trust in You, and not have the “fear of man” in their hearts. Please reveal who the righteous are among those candidates who are running for the next election in Israel. Please bring to clarity who are the faithful ones… if any can be found. Please open up the eyes of citizens to choose leaders who tell the truth, and want to serve others more than their own self interests. Show us the servant-leaders in Israel so that we can vote for them and choose wisely.  Yes, show us those “shepherds” who will lead the sheep with knowledge and understanding because their hearts are right with You.

COVID/THE VACCINES – The Divisions in Society:

There is a spirit of fear operating… both among those who fear getting Covid; and, those who fear getting the vaccine. It’s in the society here, and it’s in the Body of Messiah. There are great divisions among leaders and lay people.

 

We need to respect the decisions we individually make. If we think that our brother or sister is making the wrong decision, we need to pray for them.

 

And, we need to pray that all fear will go, in Yeshua’s name, that has to do with our health.

 

Psalm 10:17:  “You, LORD hear the desire of the afflicted; You encourage them and listen to their cry.”

 

So, we pray for those among us who are suffering either because of Covid, or because of the vaccine.

 

Proverbs 13:10: “Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.”

 

We pray for the wisdom of God, Your accuracy and truth to flow out of the mouths of our leaders in this land. And, we pray that accuracy and truth will prevail; that citizens will know what is of God and what is of man; that they will have discernment in what is good and what is evil.

 

Proverbs 18:19: “An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city.  Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.”

 

For those who have lost friendships because of offenses due to strong opinions or a desire to be helpful, please cover the offenses and the hurts in Jesus name!  Please restore unity to the Body of Messiah; and bring our brothers and sisters into the bond of peace. It is special when brethren dwell together in unity. We are strengthened when we have tolerance respect, and honor for one another…. and, most of all love!

 

ISRAELI SECURITY:

Terror attacks have risen recently.

 

We declare: Psalm 55:9:  “Lord, confuse the wicked, confront their words, for I see violence and strife in the city.”

 

We pray that the Lord will give Israel good intelligence to halt these attacks, in Yeshua’s name! 

 

With a possible return to the “land for peace” formula of a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, we need to pray that God will constrain the plans of the nations in what could be harmful to Israel in the future.

 

Psalm 33:10-11: “The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But, the plans of the LORD stand firm forever; the purposes of His heart through all generations.”

 

There is talk of the U.S. going back to the JCPOA deal with Iran. This is of great concern to Israel. Israel has stated over and over again, they will not allow Iran to go nuclear. We sense there are plans behind the scenes to prepare for a confrontation with Iran, since Iran talks about increasing uranium enrichment to military standards for a quick break-out to obtain a nuclear weapon. Iran continues to threaten Israel with annihilation, even giving dates of when that will happen! 

 

May the U.S. be constrained from making a bad deal, entering into a snare, and being trapped by Iran. May such behavior on the part of the future American Administration not affect Israel’s security. May God confuse the plans of Iran, and may God arise and His enemies be scattered! The Lord has set Israel in place, as the head not the tail. He pours out His love and promises on Zion. Any talk of annihilation of His beloved land is only threats. The nations must obey the Lord, and His Son, according to Psalm Chapter 2. He is the protector and the shield of Israel.

Israel and the Nations

 

ALL PRAISE TO OUR KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS AT THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

We celebrate Yeshua during this week of Hanukkah!

 

John 8:12: “One again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.’ ”

 

Yeshua also said something similar in John 9:5:  “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

 

On this Hanukkah and soon to come Christmas season, we remember John 1:4-5: “The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

 

We rejoice Yeshua that You have overcome the darkness!!

WHO WE ARE IN HIM -- IN THE LIGHT AND IN THE DARKNESS:

Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”

PRAYER FOR THE SALVATION OF ISRAEL DURING THIS HOLIDAY OF LIGHT:

We pray for the seed of LIFE, YESHUA to be planted in the hearts of all those in Israeli society. Let that seed be watered well. And, God may You make it grow. So, neither the one who plants, nor the one who waters, is anything…. But only God, who makes things grow. For we are co-workers in God’s service. You are God’s field, God’s building. Let each one build with care taken. (See 1 Corinthians 3:6-10).

 

Today, we pray for life to be breathed into every person living in Israel … Jew, Gentile, Arab, Druze, traditional Christians who are not born again, children, young people, middle aged people, old people, soldiers, businessmen and business women, politicians, diplomats, new immigrants, volunteers, foreigners, those who are here serving in the land, etc. We pray that we will lay a better foundation than we have so far, in the Body of Messiah in the land, to catch these fish for the Kingdom of God! Let the root of what we are laying as a foundation be deeply rooted in our Messiah, Jesus!

 

Jeremiah 31:7: “This is what the LORD says: ‘Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for the foremost of the nations. Make your praises heard, and say, ‘LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel.’ ”

 

Proverbs 8:17: “I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me find Me.”

 

PRAYER FOR THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT:

As of this writing, it is unclear whether the Knesset will soon be dissolved, and whether Israel will go to a 4^th election (the fourth one within a year’s time). There are already new political parties forming. To try and replace Netanyahu’s stronghold over Likud, Gideon Saar has looked to split the Likud and form the “New Hope” political party. There are other politicians expected to form a center-left party. But, until it is clear whether Israel is going to elections, nothing can really change. There has been growing dissatisfaction with Netanyahu, who is considered by more and more Israelis to be self-centered with an autocratic leadership style. Most would agree he has broken his promise of having a budget in place by the end of this year, as well as following his coalition agreement with Benny Gantz by allowing a rotation to take place where Gantz would be prime minister.

 

In addition, the disputes between Netanyahu’s Likud party and Gantz’s Blue and White party have widened the schism, making it almost impossible for the government to form a cohesiveness unified front. There have been increased demonstrations against the current government. So, Israelis are more welcoming of the idea of going to the polls again.

 

PRAYER POINTS: How do we pray and what do we pray regarding this government?

 

(1)    We seek You Sovereign Lord, according to Amos 3:7, that you will reveal Your plans to Your servants the prophets, so we know how to pray more effectively for the future of the government of Israel.

 

(2)    We declare John 15:15: “No longer do I (the Lord) call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing but, I (the Lord) call you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father, I have made known to you.”

 

So, Lord, we entreat you to show us how to pray, and how to hear from You, clearly; how to pray for the government of Israel, in Jesus name!

 

(3)    Lord, we seek You for greater wisdom and knowledge, asking You to reveal Your heart and plans regarding Your order for this earthly government in Israel. It was Gabriel that came to Daniel in swift flight and instructed Daniel in Chapter 9:22, ‘Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.’

 

Do this for us, Lord, as we seek greater prayer for our leaders of this nation. Make Your will clearly known, and instruct Your servants, those who pray on the walls of Jerusalem, how to offer up prayers that hit the mark, in Yeshua’s name!

 

(4)    Many Israelis feel that Netanyahu is irreplaceable because of his vast experience in foreign policy. However, others feel that he has greatly failed when it comes to domestic issues – the care for the nation and its people on a very human level.  And, the needs of the people have come more into focus since the Covid virus appeared on the scene. Netanyahu’s unwillingness to raise up a new generation of Likud leaders who could follow him in politics, has caused him to retain too much personal power.

 

PRAYER POINT: Lord, we pray that You will raise up a generation of leaders who are like the shepherd David, who was anointed of You to become King – someone most unlikely to kill the Goliath that threatened Israel. But, David did it, in Your strength, God. So, we ask You: Raise up a generation of people who can and will fight the Goliath’s in the land; a leader who, as Commander and Chief, can lead a group of soldiers into war. It was You and You alone, Lord, who sustained David. We pray for someone in Israel to be raised up who has the heart of David; a heart after You, God; and can lead Israel with strength, courage, and valor.

 

 

(5)    The Vaccine: Only 50% of Israelis want to take the vaccine. At least 1/3 of the population wants to wait until Israel develops its own vaccine, which is going through human trials right now. Reportedly, in order to achieve herd immunity, at least 70% of the population has to be vaccinated. But, no one knows how effective the current vaccines really are; nor, how safe they are. The rush to bring them on the scene and get emergency FDA approval, has caused great anxiety and fear in this country, as well as in other countries. The Netanyahu government has declared that it expects to vaccinate 60,000 Israelis a day, through Israel’s health organizations, starting with medical personnel and the elderly. Netanyahu is pushing Israelis to be vaccinated with the Pfizer double-dose vaccine, which has strong side effects, especially with people who have allergies.

 

Netanyahu has indicated that those going through the vaccine will receive a “green passport”. With that “green passport”, they will be able to get into malls, cultural events, sports events, and gyms. And, they will be able to travel. It is a threat to those who do not want to be vaccinated at this time. It limits personal freedoms, and already Israelis are talking about lawsuits which would bring the issue to the Supreme Court. Those who are pro-vaccine, including some rabbis, want Israelis to get the vaccine shot because of what they perceive is the common good of the country. This country has a long history of socialism -- which means, that the good of society has precedence over individual choice. Opposing forces are causing an increasingly larger gap in society.

 

Mark 3:35: “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

 

Psalm 133:1: “.... Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

 

Lord, bring Israeli society into unity so we can stand together against the wiles of the enemy that would try to harm and divide us.

 

God, we ask You to expose the truth about the current vaccines being offered in Israel, including the safety of these inoculations. We pray safety and protection over those receiving the vaccines. And, safety, protection and liberty for those who choose not to take it. Let there be no discrimination that is unleashed between Israelis, but instead, bring harmony, peace, tolerance, compassion, and understanding.

 

Joel 3:16: “The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth will shake. But, the LORD will be a refuge for His people, a strong fortress for the people of Israel.”

 

Proverbs 16:1: “To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the proper answer of the tongue.”

 

Proverbs 16:9:  “A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.”

PRAYER REGARDING TRUMP’S PEACE PLANS: 4 ARAB NATIONS IN 4 MONTHS:

• There are factors that come into play if there is a change in government to a Biden Administration. Trump has promised certain advanced arm sales, economic incentives, and land sovereignty to nations in exchange for their willingness to engage in a peace deal with Israel (such as declaring Morocco’s sovereignty over the Western Sahara; and, delivering the F-35’s to the U.A.E.) Will the Biden Administration uphold the terms and principles of these peace agreements?  If not, will the nations that signed with Israel pull out of the agreements?

 

PRAYER POINT:

 

Psalm 33:10-12: “The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But, the plans of the LORD stand firm forever; the purposes of His heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He chose for His inheritance.”

 

• Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, recently said that Israel has diplomatic relations with about 160 of 190 nations in the UN body. He expects that in the next month or so, several more nations will form peace treaties with Israel. The number could change to 170 out of 190 nations.

 

Israel recently formed a political agreement with the closed country of Bhutan. It is a nation that sits in the Himalayan Mountains between India and China. On the surface it is not an important nation for Israel. But, because of Israel’s close ties with India, it is an advantage for Israel to protect Bhutan. In like kind, Bhutan has 1 vote in the UN just like every other nation…. which is very important for Israel (to gain friends in the UN).  So, any government that wants to enter into favorable diplomatic relations with Israel has a willing partner.

 

PRAYER POINT: Someday the LORD will judge the nations. According to Matthew 25:12, “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a Shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.”  Matthew 13:49: “So, it will be at the end of the age: the angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous.”

 

LORD, we see the foreshadowing of this as you give the nations an opportunity to stand with Israel… in new and restored diplomatic relations; in votes in the UN. Your word says that those who bless Israel will be blessed. And, we watch as the nations come into alignment with Your purposes and plans for Your Kingdom.

 

 

 

We thank You that these nations, so far, have been bold to accept the Trump peace deals and be supportive of Israel; and we thank You for continued cooperation which relies on only You and not political transitions of administrations and power.

 

Interesting Information:

• The U.A.E. has become a refuge place for Orthodox Jews trying to escape anti-Semitism in Europe. Reportedly, there is no evidence by the people of the U.A.E. of blatant Anti-Semitism, like there is in Europe, and in places in the U.S.

 

• About 300,000 Moroccan Jews immigrated to Israel from 1948-1964. Now, there are up to 1 million Moroccan Jews living in Israel. Israelis think that the Moroccan Jews living in Israel will be a bridge to the Moroccan government, especially in the area of culture and the arts.

 

• More than 800,000 Jews immigrated to Israel in the early days of independence from Arab countries mostly due to discrimination. Now, that Arab nations are increasingly forming warm relations with Israel, it becomes an advantage for their leaders to enter into Israel’s negotiations with the Palestinians.

Israel and the Nations

 

GIVING GOD THE GLORY – HIS ATTRIBUTES:

Psalm 103:19: “The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all.

 

Psalm 116:5: “Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate.”

 

Psalm 119:89: “Forever, Lord, Your word stands in heaven.”

 

U.S. ELECTIONS/FACTS:

(1) There has not been a transition of power. Until January 2021, there will not be a transition of power. There is a legal process going on. We have yet to see the Electoral College vote in each state, which happens in mid-December.

 

Therefore, the scriptures command us to pray for those in authority over us. In the United States, Donald Trump, is currently in the appointed position of President, so it is our duty to pray for him:

 

1 Timothy 2:1-2: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people; for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

 

In praying for those in authority over us, we find peace and quiet; experience godliness and holiness; and the hope is that all people will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth!

 

(2) The media cannot decide the election. The media only “projected” who they thought would win. They have gone beyond their function of informing the public, into a self-proclaimed elevated position of “presupposition”.

 

“Presupposition” is a thing tacitly assumed beforehand, at the beginning of a course of action. “Assumption” is a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.

 

 

“Assumption” is the action of taking or beginning to take power or responsibility. “Assumption” is “arrogance” and “presumption.”  It is behavior perceived as disrespectful and transgressing the limits of what is permitted or appropriate. So, the media has gone beyond its limits as a power in society.

 

PRAY for the Lord to bring the media into His righteous right order.

 

PRAY that truth and accuracy will prevail. Pray that God will hold false media prophets accountable who are engaged in inaccurate reporting and fake declarations.

 

(3) If there was fraud in this election, lying, stealing of votes, and deceit, then pray for the complete disclosure and exposure of these wicked deeds. And, pray that justice will be done, along with bravery on the part of the Supreme Court and all those involved, to properly correct the election results.

 

Psalm 5:10: “O God, declare them guilty. Let them be caught in their own traps. Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against You.”

 

(4) Civil Disobedience! There may be greater violence, riots, fires, and burning of buildings in the cities. Americans may find themselves having to move into rural areas for protection.

 

Romans 13:1: “Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.”

 

Let’s pray that Americans submit to whatever the final election results are with peace in the cities and tranquility.

Proverbs 9:7: “Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse; and, he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury.”

Proverbs 10:12: Hatred stirs up strife; but, love covers all offenses.

 

So, we pray that believers, especially, will be careful in how they approach the civil disobedient ones around them. This is a great time for sharing the gospel message of repentance and salvation, rather than entering into the civil discourse, which could lead to harm.

 

We declare over America, Psalm 80:3: “God, restore us and make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved!”

We pray, Lord, that you will give Your people wisdom in knowing how to proceed during the times ahead in the United States.

 

(5) Pray for those who are attempting to establish truth, and declare God’s vindication over those who acted rightly. Pray that He will deliver those who walk in integrity.

Psalm 37:6: “He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn; your vindication (your justice), like the noonday sun.”

 

(6) In acknowledging the Lord’s divine will, as the eternal God of the Universe, petition the Lord with prayers, but also recognize that He has all authority to decide the fate of men.

The Lord may be dealing with the Church, itself, during these elections, and in the outcome of the elections.

1 Corinthians 14:32-33: “The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace – as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.

 

Psalm 75:6-7: “For victory does not come from the east or west, or from the wilderness. It is God alone who judges; He decides who will rise and who will fall.”

 

PRAYER: Regardless of the outcome, Lord, we ask You to use the final election results as a breaking point that brings Americans together. Take away the divisions and heal the American people! Renew a right Spirit within every American citizen. Bring the Body of Messiah into submission to Your plans and purposes for Your Kingdom. Cause repentance of fretting and worry, according to Psalm 37, and release Your Church into greater faith and hope in You, in Jesus’ name!

 

THE FALLOUT FOR ISRAEL IF THE U.S. IS UNDER A NEW ADMINISTRATION:

 

If there is a transition of power, Israel will suffer on several fronts, diplomatically. Former Ambassador Martin Indyk, spoke at a recent Jerusalem zoom press briefing. He was U.S. Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. He also served as U.S. Ambassador to Israel and as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs during the Clinton Administration.

 

According to Indyk, here is what Israel is up against if there is a transition of power from Trump to Joe Biden:

 

(1)    Biden will look to reverse Trump’s acknowledgement of the Golan Heights as part of Israeli sovereignty. Indyk foresees a peace treaty between Israel and Syria. But, that would include negotiations between an Israeli leader and Syrian dictator, Bashar Assad. Assad has already demanded Syrian sovereignty over the full Golan Heights, which Israel cannot agree to, because it means Israel will be left with indefensible borders. The Golan Heights is referred to as Bashan in the Bible, and is where the biblical tribe of Manasseh settled.

 

 

(2)    A Biden Administration will halt any measures towards a Trump peace deal. There will be no talk of 30% of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) being part of Israeli sovereignty. And, Israel’s Prime Minister will not be able to declare it so.

 

 

(3)    There will be an expected stop in settlement building in Judea and Samaria. Biden doesn’t want to get involved in any attempt by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take pre-emptive measures to build settlements. Biden is willing to fight Netanyahu on this issue. But, there are other issues that are already adversarial between the two leaders – like the Iran deal. Biden would pursue getting back into the JCPOA. While it is expected that Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will increase sanctions on Iran, Biden would use this as leverage. At the same time, it is expected that Biden would attempt to lift multi-lateral sanctions on Iran. One of the greatest disagreements between Biden and Netanyahu is that Netanyahu believes in maximum pressure on Iran, and Biden doesn’t.

 

 

(4)    The only effort on the part of a Biden Administration in peace negotiating and peace building will be to get the Israelis and Palestinians back to the peace table. Indyk says the Democrats see the Arab nations coming into peace with Israel as “low hanging fruit”. It’s there, so why not take advantage of the situation? Indyk does not see that as a priority in peace making.

 

 

(5)    Under a Biden Administration, the U.S. would focus its foreign policy efforts on disengaging in the Middle East, and building a military arsenal that exceeds that of China. Indyk says that it is not a vital interest of the United States to be involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, except to get both sides to take the initiative to come together. (That is another way of saying, “U.S. pressure will be involved”). Indyk is a proponent of providing the Palestinians with their own separate state.

 

 

(6)    In terms of a relationship between Netanyahu and Biden, Indyk says that it is Netanyahu that will have to work at restoring the relationship, and Netanyahu would no longer get the benefit of the doubt. Netanyahu will only be able to show his friendship as much as Biden is willing to, according to Indyk.

 

 

(7)    Indy said that 75% of American Jews voted the Biden-Harris ticket. The vast majority of American Jews were on the side of the Democrats. Orthodox Jews were on the Republican side (the Trump-Pence ticket).

 

 

(8)    The chasm between the American Jewish community and Israel will need to be mended under a Biden Administration, according to Indyk. Trump worked with Orthodox Jews in America who supported him. But, he replaced the American Jewish community’s support with Evangelical Christian support. Under Biden, there would be an elevation of American Jewish support, and therefore, American Jews would expect Israelis to listen to their demands, in exchange for agreeing to support Israel.

(9)    Indyk sees Israel as a regional power, not as a global power, and says that Biden sees that as valuable. He says that Israel’s regional platform is a way of stabilizing the region. Security is the “architecture” for the region, and Israel exceeds in that area.

 

 

 

(10) Indyk says that the philosophy of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was a “step by step process” between Israel and the Palestinians; a step by step approach. He thinks Israel and the Palestinians will need to return to this. He wants to see a separation of Israel from the Palestinians out of respect. He did not answer a reporter’s question as to how that kind of plan can happen when it failed in the past.

 

 

PRAYER: We declare that Israel will not have to go back to “old wineskins” that didn’t work before; that there will be no reverse policy into something that has been proven to be unattainable. We proclaim that Israeli leaders will not have to waste their time dealing with an intransient Palestinian leadership, once again.

 

 

According to 1 Chronicles 12:32, “From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.” 

 

 

Daniel 2:21: “It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings;
He gives wisdom to wise men; and, knowledge to people of understanding.”

 

 

Let it be, Lord, that Israel is not pressured by the United States, or any country, that would force it to comply with man’s ways. Keep Israeli leaders strong and able to overcome American pressure that would try and cause Israel to compromise Your covenant promises to Your people, in Yeshua’s name!

 

 

God, we will not look to these “what if’s” since the election has yet to be decided. But, we will prepare for Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!

 

 

PRAYER REGARDING IRAN:

 

The sanctions against Iran have not stopped Iran from trying to become nuclear. The sanctions have only slowed down Iran. We need to continue to pray that Iran will be stopped, and Israel will find new ways of covert operations to confusion, create chaos, and limit Iran from being able to obtain nuclear weapons. We must also pray for every evil operation on the part of Iran, including its tentacles that reach far into the Middle East, will be exposed and dealt with in Yeshua’s name!

 

 

In the days ahead, Netanyahu will need wisdom in how to cooperate with the U.S. Administration regarding the Iran deal. And, how to handle Iran’s continued threats and aggression in the Middle East.  PRAY wisdom for the Prime Minister in this regard.

 

 

PRAYER FOR OTHER ISSUES IN ISRAEL:

*The possibility of another lockdown at Hanukkah because of a rise in COVID.

 

 *Whether the vaccine will be safe and whether citizens will be forced to take the COVID test, and receive the vaccine.

 

 *For the Israeli government to hold up through December, as there is still no state budget for next year. Pray for greater unity in the current government, so Israel does not have to go to a 4^th election!

 

 *Pray about increased acts of anti-Semitism in Austria, Moldova, France, and in the U.S. (Michigan).

 

 *Pray for Aliyah… especially what is happening in the Israeli government that has to do with attitudes and acts of unkindness towards certain Jewish people trying to immigrate to Israel.
