Today is May 14, 2026, on the Gregorian Calendar.

 

On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel.  U.S. President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day.

 

Israel is celebrating 78 years of independence as the nation state for the Jewish People.

 

On the Hebrew calendar, it is also Jerusalem Day.  Israelis are celebrating 59 years since 1967 when Jerusalem came into Israel’s hands, miraculously, during the Six-Day War.  

 

This is a time to rejoice in the Lord with and for the Jewish People who now have their own homeland, and their undivided and eternal capital is Jerusalem!

 

The following are notes from a briefing recently shared… for your information:

 

TRUTH, DISCERNMENT, AND THE WATCHMAN:

·       HOW TO DEVELOP YOUR OWN PRIMARY SOURCES OF NEWS AND INFORMATION

·       HOW TO HANDLE SPECULATIVE NEWS REPORTING DURING KEY “TURNING POINTS” (WHEN THE WINDS ARE CHANGING COURSE)

·       HOW TO HANDLE “INSIDE INFORMATION” WHEN RECEIVED

In this time of war, and rumors of war, discernment is a key “gift,” especially because it’s a time when there is a spirit of confusion in the air.

 

Strong’s Greek concordance defines DISCERNMENT as the God-given capacity to separate, evaluate, and reach sound conclusions about what is true, right, or spiritually authentic.

It's becoming harder and harder in this new era, with the introduction of AI, to not be deceived by what is real and what is fake news.   Confusion sets in.  Journalists are using commentary and opinion as if these are facts on the ground. But, they are not.

 

Beyond wrestling with accuracy in media reporting, we are wrestling with spirits of deception in this world. This is why we must pray about everything we read or see!  Yeshua has overcome this world, and we are overcoming!

Ephesians 6:12: For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of the air. Against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.

The spirit of this world is buffeting prophets, prophetic watchmen, and intercessors, who are seeking accuracy and truth, and who want to walk in rightful discernment.

 

In seasons of war there is a battle in the heavenlies manifesting on the earth. In such conditions it’s difficult to hear and receive clearly. It’s a spiritual and natural conflict going on – heaven and earth.

 

In Daniel 10:12-14, a man said: “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”

 

That same spiritual prince has got the “kings” of Persia (Iran) on a leash now. But, GOD is intervening to weaken that spiritual prince. That prince is being dealt with by the Lord, in this Middle East war. Among those of us who have a need to know what is going on, how do we manage this as watchmen?

 

INTRODUCTION:

Watchmen are trying to discern the news and want to “report” the findings. This is similar to journalists. Both journalists and watchmen are looking for truth, accuracy, and clarity.

 

However, there is a tendency to jump and share information, publicly, before seeking wisdom and discernment from the Lord… including His way and His timing for the release of information.

There is the art of waiting that we must work through before releasing information.

 

It’s better to be right than to be first in reporting something that happened. And, if it’s inaccurate, delete it!

 

RELEASING INFORMATION:

When the purpose of information is to release it in prayer, privately, in the context of a “prayer room,” it’s a different scenario. In this case, if there is too long a wait, it becomes a missed opportunity for spiritual warriors to conduct a pre-emptive strike against spiritual forces in wicked places. Timing is everything when it comes to prayer in a “prayer room” atmosphere.

Therefore, discern your reason for releasing information. Is it to inform the public? Then, you should wait until there are solid confirmations of that information. If it is for private prayer in a “prayer room” setting, then pray and fight in spiritual warfare.

COLLABORATION:

Part of the solution to the dilemma of knowing if something is factual or fake is “collaboration” about news and information within the watchmen community. This is naturally, going on among watchmen who live in Israel and the nations.

 

This process is not easy. The point here is prayer and discernment.

 

Once you develop your own primary sources, you can ask the experts in the field what they think of certain information, and they will weigh in on it.

 

DEVELOPING PRIMARY SOURCES:

The first and foremost primary source is the Lord, Himself. He knows everything; He is all encompassing; He is Lord over all, in all, and through all!

In the natural realm, we have the tendency to become too dependent on the media and its headlines. Yet, the media is a secondary news source. 

 

There are experts on the front lines, eye-witnesses in the field, and researchers who have studied topics and are well-informed, including historical information. This includes analysts and strategists.

 

We can go straight to them, and gather news and information, just as the reporters do from various news organizations. Such resources are available.

 

It’s important to develop your own primary sources, and not be solely dependent on the media, especially the social media, which is rampant now with FAKE NEWS!

 

Yet, watchmen are often trying to discern the news from the news media.

 

During times of great speculation, it can become a trap, and then we don’t discern well. Again, there is a tendency to jump and want to share information quickly and openly.

 

THE ANSWER TO HAVING THE RIGHT DISCERNMENT IS TO LISTEN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT:

Psalm 46 is a good example of when all chaos has broken out; when calamity and catastrophe              are ruling on the earth.

 

A typical reporter in a hurricane or tornado is out there in the wind and the rain. He/she can barely stand-up to do their reporter’s “stand-up!”

 

We are like Elijah, who was trying to find the Lord in the wind, rain, earthquake, fire, and strong forces.

 

1 Kings 19:11-12.  He found the Lord in the still small voice.

 

We learn in Psalm 46 to be still, wait, and trust. Why? Because the Lord is in control not the strong forces of nature!

Another example, is the Lord’s disciples in the boat during the storm. He caused the winds to still and the storm to subside.  (Matthew 8:23-27).

 

Our human tendency is to get caught up in the storm – in the thunder and lightening.

 

So, again, develop primary sources of news and information, using discernment, in prayer, and not dependent on media reports during times of uncertainty. It is important to not get caught up in shifting winds; in speculation; in rumors of war, and other things that are in this season of “the in-between.”  Learn the art of waiting until things calm down and you can hear the still small voice of God.

“INSIDE INFORMATION”: 

 It is information that is given, that is somewhat “classified”, or in the “gray zone” category.  It does not come from “open sources.” 

 

Because prophetic watchmen have a similar role to that of journalists… especially, a “need to know,” its probable that receiving “inside information” will likely continue…

 

As a watchman, inevitably, there will come a time when “inside information” is received, usually from your primary sources.

 

When it comes to inside information, we need God’s wisdom, discernment, direction, and timing. And, whether information should stay private or become public. Most of all, if you are a watchman, then the priority is prayer. Accuracy in prayer!

 

 HOW TO KNOW THAT THE “INSIDE INFORMATION” YOU HAVE RECEIVED IS ACCURATE:

 

·       There should be confirmation from an eyewitness or primary source that the
“alleged” or “reported” incident did happen.  If this is not possible, then it is considered a “suspicious” incident. (Language used to describe the situation is important).

 

 

·       For a watchman, a “suspicious” incident is enough for you to bring it to prayer, privately. If you choose to share it publicly, then it is still a “suspicious” incident with no eyewitness to confirm that incident is true. Even then, until there are several confirmations, the information will remain “alleged” or “as reported.”

 

·       Information is power that can influence an outcome:

    For watchmen, it is enough to bring it before the Lord, alone. Ask Him to confirm the information you have received and what to do with it.

  

     God’s wisdom is needed to get direction as to whom to share information with, privately, and why. And, whether it should become public. And, the timing.

 

 1 Chronicles 12:32: “From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.”

 

We don’t always have access to leaders to let them know the best course to take. Sometimes we do!  Sometimes, those leaders don’t want to hear our thoughts. But, GOD always wants a response from us, in prayer!

 

There is the human "need to know," especially among journalists and watchmen.  Where does this come from?

 

Be careful as some are picking fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, vs. the tree of life!  The Lord will show us beyond what we think we need to know, if we put our listening ear to His voice.

 

HOW DO WE KNOW IF WHAT WE ARE RECEIVING IN “INSIDE INFORMATION” IS ACCURATE?

·       Example:  A drone “reportedly” approached Air Force One, months ago, in the U.S. Was there an eyewitness? Did the pilot and crew see it? Did someone who works security detail for the president receive information about this?  Did someone who works for the U.S. Airforce report it? Was there video or photographs of the incident?  These would be "primary sources" to this incident.

 

·       The government can still cover-up an incident. It would then be “classified.” There is a difference between classified and non-classified (“open source”) information.

 

·       A journalist will gather the news, including information from “open source” materials, for accuracy in reporting, and some will go on further and analyze the situation.

 

·       A watchman also has a reason to gather such information, for accuracy in prayer. If that is you, you will need to get into research and dig deeper than the news headlines. Then, hear from God for His strategies in prayer!   His strategic assessment!

 

·       These same “watchmen researchers” that do strategic assessments – they look at the trends to see what the likelihood is, of something occurring… as has been reported in the news.  This is helpful. They then put together a report for others, to pray.

·       This reveals, in watchmen, “forward thinking” (which is valuable for governments); It’s an inherent prophetic gift of perceiving events and looking ahead. 

 

We also need to be confident in what we are hearing from the Lord regarding global events...

 

·       The balance of power, in the current Middle East war, has not just been about the Middle East region, but about the balance of power, globally.

 

Our biblical worldview shapes how we think about situations. When the Iran war started, watchmen said, “Will Iran enjoy a complete change of regime?  Will the citizens come into a form of democracy and freedom?”  There was an uneasiness in how to answer that. But, if you look at how Persia is a “player” in the eventual Gog and Magog war (Ezekiel 38 and 39); then, you will wonder about a new freedom regime in Iran that eventually would be wicked enough to come against Israel. 

 

·       Watchmen have the Bible in one hand, while looking at news events with the other hand, trying to discern how the events relate to scripture.

aSAs we explore what GOD is doing on the face of the earth, in the face of His enemies, there are certain foundational scriptures that steady us in these times:

W We can and should declare what are God’s promises to us:

Amos 3:7: “Surely, the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.”

 

Daniel 2:22: “He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” (He is surrounded by light). 

Prophetically, the level of growth we are in, right now, as prophetic watchmen before God is this:

·       Pressing into the Lord in terms of getting clearer understanding of what HE is doing, first and foremost, in national, regional, and international developments.

 

·       Secondly, that He would teach us, and we would learn, how to rightfully discern what is truth and what is not, in terms of the MEDIA NEWS cycle.

 

·       Thirdly, that we would fully come to understand and have insight that this battle has already been won.  And, as our eyes see what the world is doing, we must practice focusing on what the Lord is doing. It’s a discipline.

 

AMPLIFIED BIBLE:  Revelation 11:15: “Then the seventh angel sounded (his trumpet); and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom (dominion, rule) of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever!”

 

    God is re-aligning and re-positioning nations for final battles, in which the Messiah will take        over kingdoms.

 

     The Lord says in Psalm 2:8: “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance.             And, the ends of the earth as Your possession.”

 

IN THE ROOM:

“In the room” means you are invited into a special meeting with decision-makers who are seated together. Sometimes, it is to participate. Sometimes it is to listen and pray.

 

Watchmen will find themselves more and more “in the room” where key decisions are being made, locally, nationally, regionally, and internationally. It doesn’t mean that being “in the room” will give you the answers you needed to understand the plans for the region of the world you care about. But, it is a “gift” from God to be there, and watchmen should be prayerfully praying for “such a time as this.”

 

·               Example: Mordechai and Esther heard and saw the plans. They were “in the room”. They knew         the plots of Haman. They knew the purposes of rulers and kings.

 

God sometimes puts us “in the room” where information is given, so we will know how true and accurate reports are.  Sometimes He puts us “in the room” so we will pray into the very situation we are in!

 

There is a hunger among prophetic watchmen, just as with journalists, to gain understanding. It’s our prophetic nature. But, what is of most importance is that we cultivate discernment in the “inner room” with the Lord. Trust Him to give us what we “need to know,’ in His timing, and not in the fast pace of the news cycle.

CONCLUSION:

·       Watchmen do not necessarily” need to know” facts in greater detail like journalists do. Watchmen need to know “suspicions, “or “dangerous possibilities,” in order to prioritize their prayers and direct their prayers.

 

·       Seek the Lord in not only whether to release information, but the timing to do so.  Make sure to pass it by others; collaborate with other watchmen.  

 

·       Most of all, seek God’s wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and discernment and pray over every situation.  (Isaiah 11:1-5).

INTRODUCTION:

We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and we are air force warriors. This is a strategic assignment for your consideration as a specific prayer focus.

 

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE ENEMY DOING TO DISRUPT LIFE IN THE HOLY LAND?

ANSWER: PINPOINTING TARGETS:

* There are certain geographical areas that are repeatedly targeted in the land.

* Understanding the targets will help you to raise your prayer shields over these areas, seeking increased Divine protection for the people and the land.

 

WHAT YOU SEE IN REPORTS, AND WHAT IS BEHIND WHAT YOU SEE:

(1)   GENERAL LOCATIONS: Media reports show missiles striking in northern areas, central areas, southern areas, the coastal plain, Jerusalem, in the Galilee, etc.

 

 

(2)   ENEMY’S PURPOSE: to target the land with several goals in mind, in its attempt to wipe this nation off the map. We know this is God’s land. The enemy cannot completely destroy it. God is in charge. But, there is significant property damage; people are losing their lives; many are getting injured.

 

 

(3)   SPIRITUAL HELP: We ask you to lift up the arms and hands of the citizens, as Aaron and Hur did for Moses, so the battle could be won, and the victory could prevail.  (EXODUS 17:11-13).

WHERE AND WHY?

(1)   The enemy said it would attack military facilities. This has come true, with major threats and attacks occurring in April 2024, June 2025, and now, in March 2026.

 

(2)   The enemy has targeted major civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities. 

 

         (3)   The enemy is deliberately focusing on population centers, as a military strategy. 

 

         (4)   The enemy is targeting Jerusalem holy places, which happened in the 12-Day war, and now in                 this war.

 

JERUSALEM CORRIDOR: in the Judean Hills, close to Route 1 (the major highway into Jerusalem), and west of the city of Jerusalem.  

 

It is a significant area with a long history of a military presence; of military conflicts; and most of all -- “God” happenings. Certain communities in this Corridor are active, and there are historical military points. The enemy is, continually, targeting neighborhoods in the Jerusalem Corridor.

Why is this Corridor being targeted?   

·       Active military installations

·       Army training and operational bases

·       Army patrols

·       Border Police

·       Spiritual history

 

What else is in the Judean Hills?    

·       critical national infrastructure, involving communications

·       strategic overlooks, often monitored or guarded by security forces

Further west of Jerusalem:

BEIT SHEMESH: A repeated target is in close proximity to this community. The target was reportedly hit by Hamas in 2023, and the Houthi’s in 2025. In March 2026, the community, itself, suffered a major hit from a ballistic missile, destroying a bomb shelter, a synagogue, and part of a house. Nine people died. Major injuries.  It’s important to look at what is nearby the community, which could have been the main target. This information is in open sources.

 

HAIFA: Big population center. Petrochemicals industries. Oil refineries. Extensive communications infrastructure for electricity/power.  It’s a strategic location, targeted by two enemy forces, often coordinating their actions.

 

SAFED: Command and Control Center. (Also, the center for Jewish Mysticism, focused on Kabbalah). It is in the Galilee.

 

GALILEE: There is significant military infrastructure: strategic locations; army division headquarters; areas used for defensive and operational purposes; bases and camps; training and logistics. Also, a border infrastructure: surveillance and security.

 

TEL AVIV: Huge population center; government military headquarters; operational bases.

 

RAMAT GAN: Part of Tel Aviv. Diamond Exchange District; High Tech Business hub. Commerce.

 

BEERSHEVA: New advanced technological campus; eventual relocation of Intelligence and Command units to this city. Two major air force bases are here. Dimona nearby.

 

BEN GURION AIRPORT: Airports are strategic targets. Flights have been disrupted since the beginning of the war. Now, flights are carrying citizens back home, some of whom want to return to army service. There were stranded Americans trying to fly out of the country. All this disruption is because of the enemy’s missiles targeting the airport and planes. War is preventing some new immigrants from making Aliyah. 

 

Note:  International fighter jets received at the airport for re-fueling; are “sitting ducks,” getting hit and damaged by missiles and shrapnel. In-country airlines have planes with defensive shields that are supposed to withstand missile targeting while flying. It works, but the flights are risky.

 

THE OLD CITY: In the 12-Day war, June 2025, at least one enemy missile was intercepted over the Temple Mount. Recently, another missile was intercepted over the Old City. Shrapnel fell on the compound of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Shrapnel fell near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher; Shrapnel fell on a car in the Jewish Quarter. The enemy is specifically targeting holy sites.

 

WHAT IS OUR POSTURE, BIBLICALLY?  SCRIPTURES TO DECLARE:

Ephesians 6:12-19 (NIV AND NLT): “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then, after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. With your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And, pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And, pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan, that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.”

 

2 Corinthians 10:3-4: “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”

 

1 John 5:19-20: “We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. And, we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us understanding, so that we can know the true God. And, now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with His Son, Jesus the Messiah. He is the only true God, and He is eternal life.”

 

Daniel 10:13: “However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for 21 days. Then, all of a sudden, Michael, one of the chief angels, came to assist me!  I had been detained there near the kings of Persia.”  (Note: This is an example of the powers in the natural realm, and the powers in the spiritual realm, colliding over the kingdom of Persia…. an empire that is currently shaking violently, until God brings it down!)

 

Psalm 144:1: “Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.”

 

Psalm 68:1: “Rise up O God, and scatter Your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives.”

 

Read Ephesians 1:21, which gives us our position in this fight, as we belong to Jesus, the Messiah, and He is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

 

VISUAL PROPHETIC PICTURES:

(1)   This war is not just about the Middle East region. This is a time of “global altering.” This includes God shaking kingdoms, taking down rulers, strengthening other rulers.  There is a picture of a chess game on a map. One of the chess pieces (Turkey) is moving to the front, and another chess piece (Persia) is moving a few chess pieces back.

 

 

(2)   A person is holding a bow and arrow. When the bow is pulled back to shoot the arrow, God takes over and directs the bow to His pinpointed destination. The Lord is the One that knows the exact point of interception of the enemy’s plan. We follow His eyes to that point, and watch His follow-through.

 

 

The eyes of the Lord go throughout the earth, strengthening those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. (from 2 Chronicles 16:9).

Amos 3:7: “Surely, the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants, the prophets.”

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:

Stay fervently in prayer until all the areas mentioned have stopped being targeted over and over again!

SPIRITUALLY:  YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN A SPIRITUAL WAR OVER GOD’S LAND, AS A PRAYER WARRIOR, IN GOD’S ARMY, GETTING YOUR DIRECTIONS FROM THE COMMANDER-AND-CHIEF OF HIS ALLIED FORCES OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! THE ONE WHO IS THE CREATER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! THE KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS!

 

THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD HAVE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD AND OF HIS MESSIAH, AND HE SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER. (from Revelation 11:15).

Israel conducted a pre-emptive strike against Iran at 8:10 a.m. Saturday morning, Israel time, February 28, 2026. The U.S. and Israel, working together, had intelligence information that an Iranian security meeting was taking place between the heads of that government. So, Israel, with the help of the U.S., took that moment to strike the Iranian government headquarters, eliminating Ayatollah Khamenei and 40 leaders in his government. Iran struck back, and has been hitting targets in Israel, as well as striking U.S. military bases in the region. Arab Gulf states are being hit with Iranian missiles, and even Cyprus. Today, Hezbollah in Lebanon decided to enter the war against Israel. Iran seems set on causing a regional, or maybe a world war, using its proxies to act aggressively in the Middle East.

 

This war is different than the 12-day war with Iran that occurred in June 2025. This time it is more intense. With U.S. and Israeli military leaders synchronizing every move (through the command of CENTCOM), there have been a reported 2,000 sorties that have landed in Iran, just in 3 days! It’s an unprecendented time when these two democracies, sharing intel with each other, are working closely together as military superpowers, to stop this brutal and tyrannical regime. 

 

PRAYER POINTS:

Pray for the Lord to hold back the arm of the enemy from causing havoc in this Middle East region!

 

Pray that the goals of the U.S.-Israel alliance be accomplished in record time! 

 

Reports indicate that U.S. President Trump has stated this war could continue for 2-5 weeks. Because U.S. soldiers are getting killed and injured, and reportedly, only 1 in 4 Americans approve of this war, it’s probable that President Trump will look to end the conflict, sooner than later. May it be according to Your will, O Lord!

With different national interests than those of the U.S., the Israeli government is determined to see regime change, as the current regime remains an existential threat to the state of Israel. May Israel’s leaders look to the Lord to see such changes take place, calling on His heavenly armies to assist.

 

REMEMBERING THE BOOK OF ESTHER:

Today, is Day 3 in the war with Iran. It is also the day that observant Jews in Israel and around the world fast for 1 day, remembering Esther’s request for a 3 day fast (Esther 4:16, which took place at the time of Passover). 

 

Today, those in synagogues, worldwide, read the scroll of Esther. Tomorrow, marks Purim, but all public festivities in Israel have been cancelled. Many parents already bought their children Purim costumes, and still plan to meet in small family gatherings in homes. 

 

PRAYER NEEDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM DIRECT MISSILE HITS:

Israelis living in Beit Shemesh, in the corridor west of Jerusalem about 30 minutes, were killed and wounded in an Iranian attack, yesterday, March 1, 2026. Beit Shemesh is mostly a religious community. The neighborhood shelter got a direct hit from an Iranian ballistic missile, also destroying a synagogue, and damaging a home nearby. There were 9 people who died, which included mothers and children. One mother and her son survived, but her husband and mother-in-law died.  There were 16 injured, in this close-knit community, and currently there are still citizens unaccounted for (that were crushed in the rubble). 

 

Beit Shemesh is very close to a hidden military base that the Iranians know about. So, the community is vulnerable to an attack.  The IDF, reportedly, only used one interceptor, and the Iranian missile got through. The situation is being investigated.

 The Iranians are intent on hitting crowded civilian cities, towns, and villages.

There was a direct hit in Tel Aviv where one person died, and many were injured. It destroyed a block of apartments. Another big hit happened in an open space in Beersheva. In Jerusalem, the IDF intercepted an Iranian warhead near the City of David, and one near the Dome of the Rock. There was also a missile that hit a road in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo, damaging vehicles. 

 

PRAYER POINTS:

Pray that the injured will be healed and recover quickly. And, that loved ones of those who died will be comforted.

 

Pray for any of those still trapped in the rubble in Beit Shemesh will finally be freed, and that there will be a miracle of lives saved!

 

Pray that Israel’s defense system will work above and beyond its capabilities, protecting lives, homes, and properties.

 

There are many who don’t understand that Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei set up a system where, reportedly, 4 different layers of leaders with authority could take the place of him and whoever else was killed in his government. It’s going to take a regime change for the Middle East to be free of Iranian terrorism, and for the people of Iran to experience freedom. This needs prayer!

 

The evil leader, Haman, may have been hung on the gallows in the book of Esther 7:10, but the Jews were still a target of the enemy!  They still had to defend themselves after Haman’s death. Pray, as Israelis must defend themselves now from Iran (modern day Persia); from Hezbollah in Lebanon; and perhaps from the Houthi’s in Yemen, as well!

 

As Purim approaches, read Esther Chapter 9, and pray that God, Himself, offers a double amount of protection over His people, defending them from their wicked foes.

 

Pray that quiet and peace will come to this land.

 

Judges 5:31: “So, may all Your enemies perish, LORD! But, may all who love You be like the sun when it rises in its strength.”  Then, the land had peace forty years.

The drumroll towards war with Iran is getting louder and more intense these days, with diplomatic personnel and their families at embassies in Israel being encouraged to leave on commercial flights still available. Bomb shelters are being opened throughout the country. Israelis are stacking up on food and water. Whether the U.S. leads this upcoming conflict with Iran, or not, Israel’s government believes that Iran has crossed Israel’s red lines, and Iranian leadership must be restrained, constrained, and overthrown.

To its credit, the U.S. Trump Administration is finally coming into unity, at the highest level, that diplomacy is failing, and war is the only way to stop Iran’s destructive behavior that threatens the Middle East and the whole world. President Trump’s top men -- Vice President Vance, and Secretary of State Rubio -- are now messaging the American people, that U.S. bases in the Middle East are in danger, as are U.S. military personnel stationed there.

Whereas before, Trump’s message was to stop Iran from “going nuclear,” the message has now added that Iran’s ballistic missiles must be destroyed, and its proxies dealt with. This message became more in focus after Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently met at the White House.

There are those commentators, especially in Israel, who believe that it does not matter whether the U.S. starts the war with Iran, or Israel does. In either case, Israel will be to blame. Many Americans are not convinced that a war with Iran is good for the United States, especially because Iran is far away from American shores. But, for Israel, Iran is the greatest threat, today, to the Jewish State.

What seems to be missing from most strategic assessments is that war with Iran, coming now, during Ramadan, will be blamed on the Jews, as well. It will be said that Israel had the audacity to push for this war -- not only against modern Persia, but also against all Muslims worldwide during their holy days. This will be another excuse by Muslims to attack Jewish people wherever they are.

 

PRAYER POINTS:

·       Pray, diligently, for Jews, globally… for God’s hand of protection on their lives throughout the nations.

·       Pray that Jewish community leaders will be on high alert regarding antisemitic terrorism.

·       Pray that Jews would exercise great caution, and practice hiddenness, as a way of life during the coming conflict.  Isaiah 26:20 says: “Go, My people, enter your rooms, and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until His wrath has passed by.”

·       Pray that Orthodox Jews in the nations, that are on the streets, would act wisely regarding the wearing of religious garb.

 

Recently, in Israel, there were four ISIS terrorists that were caught in Jericho, planning a terrorist attack in Israel. That hits close to home. Over the past couple of months, videos have been posted on social media showing men climbing over the wall/fence, and coming down on ladders, along the Green Line. The focus of the IDF has been mainly to catch the infiltrators in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). However, Israelis are very aware that there could be another infiltration of terrorists coming into Jewish towns or mixed Jewish-Arab towns throughout the land, as happened in 2021, looking to do harm to Israeli citizens. Israelis call this the fifth column.

 

PRAYER POINTS:

 

·       Pray for plots to be exposed before terrorists can launch attacks inside Israel.

·       Pray that the Israeli government will raise-up more community leaders in every neighborhood to be watchmen in the watch towers, protecting Israel’s villages, towns, and cities.

·       Pray that more off-duty military personnel, and police officers will be called on, and willing, to serve in the areas where they live, keeping their neighborhoods safe during the coming war.

It has been difficult for intercessors to discern the Lord’s timing and His Kingdom purposes regarding this upcoming war with Iran. It’s been a lesson on “delay” and “anticipation” for many of God’s prophetic watchmen.  Scriptures promise us certain revelation from the Lord, Himself, and we can declare and decree these references before Him, as we continue to stand in the gap regarding this imminent conflict.

·       “Surely, the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7).

·       “He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness. And, light dwells with Him.” (Daniel 2:22).

·       “Behold, the former things have happened, and now I declare new things. Before they spring forth, I proclaim them to you.” (Isaiah 42:9).

·       “The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.” (Psalm 25:14).

·       “From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.” (1 Chronicles 12:32).  Pray that those believers in Israel, who are close to government leaders, will have a word in due season for decision-makers, that will help the course of action regarding the developing conflict with Iran.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran. On June 22, 2025, the U.S. entered the war, defending Israel, and helping with the destruction of some Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile sites. There have been hints suggesting that history might repeat itself.

In our prayers, we must not forget the Iranian people, thousands upon thousands who have died at the hands of the repressive Iranian regime that used live fire during mass protests; that gunned down patients in hospitals, and killed doctors and nurses that were treating the wounded. The people of Iran need hope. May they be encouraged by the outpouring of love and support from Americans and Israelis who want to see freedom in Iran for the suffering Iranian people. 

We declare and decree, “…May God arise, may His enemies be scattered; may His foes flee before Him.”  (Psalm 68:1). 

We pray that the Iranian people come to know this God we speak of…  the Commander of the armies of heaven, who cares for them, and wants to see them saved, healed, and delivered from their oppressors!

We pray for documented miracles among U.S. and Israeli military forces that brings encouragement, salvation, and revelation of the God of Israel who always does wonderful things!  May Israelis come to know the Shomer Israel!  (The Guardian of Israel).

THE U.S.-SAUDI STRATEGIC DEFENSE AGREEEMENT AND OTHER RISKS TO ISRAEL

 

Reporters and analysts are fixated on the recent U.S. military deal with Saudi Arabia, specifically regarding the American sale of F-35 fighter jets. It’s causing intercessors and prophetic watchmen to be distracted from other priority prayer focuses.

During the Reagan years in the White House, in the early 1980’s, the same issues of concern existed, but at that time, it was over the sale of AWACS aircraft to Saudi Arabia, with sophisticated airborne warning and control systems. The same dangers of the planes being sold to Israel’s enemy, that might threaten Israel’s military superiority, were expressed then. But, the Lord did not allow a change of the balance of power in the Middle East.

Currently, it’s not the specific sale of the F-35’s that is going to cause mega problems for Israel, even if it looks that way. This is a secondary issue that is becoming the main “distraction” from a prayer focus on much more pressing issues.

For example, what about the overall defense security agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia? 

A Trump Administration document, posted by the White House, outlines specific categories that strengthen new Saudi defense capabilities, overall, in order to meet current U.S. military criteria. These categories of partnership are divided into five main domains: air and space forces; missile defense; maritime and coastal security; land and border forces; and information and communications systems.

Over a dozen U.S. defense contractors are involved in building new military systems for the Saudis, as well as upgrading older systems to meet American standards of efficiency.

Contrary to some reports, the sale of F-35’s to Saudi Arabia does not necessarily change the balance of power in the region, nor does it threaten Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge (QME). 

When Israeli engineers receive the F-35’s, they change the configurations in the communication systems of the fighter jets, and they make overall adjustments to the planes, to meet Israel’s specific and unique standards. The results contribute to Israel’s overall air superiority.  This, along with gifted Israeli fighter pilots (overseen by the God of Israel’s heavenly armies), have kept Israel’s QME in place.

Additionally, Israel has its own defense military agreement with the U.S., secured by Congress, that assures Israel’s QME will prevail over other countries in the Middle East.

Of more concern is what else the Saudis will receive from the U.S. in their new defense pact, in terms of sophisticated air defense systems. Also, will the U.S. build a nuclear plant in Saudi Arabia for so-called “peaceful” means, under the covering of Civil Nuclear Energy Cooperation, including a multi-billion-dollar nuclear energy partnership between the two countries?

There is great uncertainty, on the part of Israelis, regarding the “behind the scenes” financial deals the U.S. is making, not only with Saudi Arabia, but with Qatar, and Turkey, as well. These deals seem to ignore Israel’s security needs, diffusing the strong alliance between America and Israel.

The most dangerous deals are those which are pushing for agreements that result in the future division of the land of Israel. This follows along with declarations by U.S. President Trump, and the president’s men, who claim they will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. This can be interpreted to mean that they refuse to allow Israel to declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.

Some reports indicate that the Palestinians are receiving a reward; a promised gift of statehood; on the heels of the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre. Yet, the Trump “peace plan” was already in the works during his first term in the White House. It was carried forward, quietly, during the Biden Administration. It was about to be presented to the public right before the October 7 massacre happened. Now, in Trump’s second term, this “peace plan” is showing sure signs of implementation, unless God intervenes to stop it, perhaps in the 11^th hour.

So, what will happen to nations that continue to push for Palestinian statehood on God’s covenant land, which the Jewish People have been given stewardship over? Will the blessings that have given nations favored status, in the eyes of God, turn to curses because of the choices of their political leaders to reject His land and people?

What are the priorities in prayer that are on the Lord’s heart now?

Something is happening, quickly, that appears to be beyond the realm of strategic prayer, as there is an attempt to deceive others with a demonic diplomatic agenda.  It’s been hard to keep up with unfolding events that are masking the true intentions of the enemies of Israel to divide and conquer the Promised Land.

Discernment is needed to pinpoint and expose the acts of deception; and, to clear the unrighteous paths in the Spirit, so the Lord’s righteousness can come forth. During confusion and chaos, with no expectations from governments and their leaders to do what is right, the effective prayers of truth, through decreeing the promises of God’s Word, will prevail. In the midst of a grave foreign policy geo-political shift in Washington, God’s watchmen on the walls must awaken to these changing winds. Loyalties can only be to the Lord and His unchanging Word.

How are American powerbrokers able to exert diplomatic control over Israel and Middle East countries, even bringing the United Nations into submission?  Psalm Chapter 2 explains that this is only temporary, as the real powerbroker is Jesus (Yeshua), and the Father promises to give Him the nations as His inheritance, and the ends of the earth as His possession. It takes the power out of the control of men and puts it in the hands of the Master of the Universe!

May we see God’s Spirit intervene in the plans of mere humans, holding back man-made “deals” that are meant to shake His nation, Israel, and His Chosen People, the Jews. May the Lord diffuse and weaken enemy forces that try to usher in prophetic events before their appointed time.

“Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate His rule with trembling. Kiss His Son, or He will be angry, and your way will lead to your destruction, for His wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. (Psalm 2:11-12).

“The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But, the LORD will be a refuge for His people; a stronghold for the people of Israel.” (Joel 3:16).
