APRIL 2015 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

--THE FORMING OF THE NEW GOVERNMENT/PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: 

On Wednesday March 25^th President Reuven Rivlin invited Benjamin Netanyahu to form the next government.

Pray that Netanyahu will be able to lead this next government, directed by the Lord God Almighty. That he will look to govern through “the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace”.

Pray that God’s wisdom and favor will be upon him as it was upon Solomon.   

                                                                    

*1 Kings 4:29-31, “Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. For He was wiser than all men…”

We decree that the government does not rest on Israeli President Reuven Rivlin or on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  It rests on the shoulder of the Messiah: 

*Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government will be upon His shoulder.”

Pray that RIGHTEOUS LEADERS will be selected for the key ministerial positions in the 20^th Knesset:

--THE NEW FOREIGN MINISTER:  

Pray that favor will go before him as he explains Israel’s position to governments overseas. Pray that he will be able to communicate, effectively, with the United States and Europe on key Israeli foreign policy issues. Pray that he will present, to the global diplomatic community, Israel at its strongest; Israel as a light to the nations. *Isaiah 1:26, “I will restore your leaders as in days of old, your rulers as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the Righteous City, a Faithful City.”

*Isaiah 49:6-7, “It is too small a thing for You to be My Servant, to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light to the Gentiles (nations) that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.  This is what the Lord says-- the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel- -to Him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the Servant of rulers: ‘Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.’ ”

*Declare the Restoration of Israel, Verse 8, “This is what the Lord says: ‘In the time of My favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will preserve you and give you as a covenant to the people, to restore the land….’ ”

*Isaiah 51:4, "Listen to Me, My people; hear Me, My nation, for instruction will go from Me; My justice will become a light to the nations.”
	*Acts 13:47, “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set thee for a light of the nations --- for thy being for salvation unto the end of the earth….’ ”
	*Revelation 21:24, “By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.”
*Isaiah 60:3, “Nations will come to your light, and kings to your bright light.”

--THE NEW DEFENSE MINISTER:  

Pray that the new Defense Minister will be bold and courageous like Joshua. 

*Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous, fear them not, neither be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you, nor forsake you.”

*Joshua 23:6, "Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the Law of Moses, that you not turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left.”      

                                         

*2 Samuel 10:12, “Be of good courage, and let us prove strong for our people, and for the cities of our God; and may the Lord do that which seems good to Him.”

 Pray that the Defense Minister will have wisdom and insight as a watchman in the tower, anointed by God, discerning where Israel’s enemies are, and how to defend the state of Israel.

*Ezekiel 3:17, “Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me.”

*Isaiah 62:6, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night…”

--THE NEW MINISTER OF JUSTICE:  

Pray that justice and righteousness will uphold God’s covenants in Israel!  (Psalm 99:4) *Isaiah 33:5, “The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He will fill Zion with His justice and righteousness.”

*Jeremiah 9:24, “The one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know Me, that I am the Lord, who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth...”

--THE NEW FINANCE MINISTER:  

Pray that he will have wisdom and be able to solve Israel’s socio-economic problems.

Pray for the lowering of housing prices; that the Israeli budget will pass; that there will be no corruption or   bribery on the part of the ultra-Orthodox who are seeking funds for their yeshiva schools.

*2 Chronicles 11:23, “He dealt wisely, and dispersed some of his sons throughout all the territories of Judah and Benjamin, to every fortified city; and he gave them provisions in abundance...”

 

*Psalm 144:13, “Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision...”

-- THE IRANIAN THREAT:

Regardless of whether there is a final agreement between the P5+1 nations and Iran or not, the concern is whether Iran will achieve nuclear military capability. Western leaders have admitted that Iran has covert nuclear operations, and western intelligence agencies do not have all the information of where the hidden operations are being carried out.

Iran wants to destroy Israel.  Israel needs our prayers. The Lord is Israel’s shield! (Psalm 18:30).

 *Declare Luke 8:17 regarding Iran’s covert nuclear operations, “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”

*Declare over Israel, Psalm 91:13-16, “You will tread upon the lion and cobra.  The young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.”

*This is the promise for Israel when the people declare God’s Authority! Psalm 118:10, “Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.”

--U.S.-ISRAEL TRAUMA: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NETANYAHU AND U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA:  

Pray that Obama will be constrained by the Lord and will only be able to say encouraging words towards Netanyahu and the people of Israel.

	*Nehemiah 13:2, “Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them. However our God turned the curse into a blessing.”
--CONTENTION: THE U.S. AND EUROPE TOWARDS ISRAEL BECAUSE NETANYAHU PLANS TO FORM A CENTER-RIGHT GOVERNMENT: *Psalm 35:1, “Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.” Decree in Prayer:  God, You are the One who said that Israel is the Apple of Your Eye, your Chosen People. The nations are coming against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the State of Israel. We declare that You, Lord, are triumphant over the nations! *Psalm 2:8, “Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth Your possession.” *Psalm 17:8, “Keep me as the Apple of Your Eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings.”
*1 Kings 3:8, “And, here I am in the midst of Your own Chosen People, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!”

--MILITARY WARNING THAT SHEIKH NASRALLAH IS TAKING UP MILITARY POSITIONS ON THE LEBANESE BORDER WITH ISRAEL; AND, THAT HEZBOLLAH IS SET TO TAKE OVER HOMES IN SOUTHERN LEBANON. ISRAELIS IN NORTHERN BORDER TOWNS ARE AFRAID OF HEZBOLLAH STORMING THE BORDER OR TUNNELING THEIR WAY INTO ISRAEL.

*Declare to Israel, Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
 I will strengthen you; yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

*Declare on behalf of Israel, Psalm 3:6-8, “I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God! For You have smitten all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.

--ONE OF ISRAEL’S MAJOR GENERALS RECENTLY SAID THAT IN A FEW YEARS IRAN’S MILITARY COULD BE DEPLOYED IN SYRIA  AND IRAQ. EFFECTIVE ISRAELI DETERRENCE IS NEEDED. 

Thank the Lord that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps; that His hand is upon Israel; and His arm delivers her from her enemies. (Psalm 121:4; Isaiah 33:3; Isaiah 40:10).

* Psalm 68:1 “…Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee before Him.”

--MIDDLE EAST WATER SYSTEMS ARE UNDER STRESS. WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IN COUNTRIES THAT ARE IN TURMOIL HAS BEEN DAMAGED. THERE IS A GENERAL WATER SHORTAGE. IT IS ALL REACHING CRISIS LEVELS.

Intercede for an abundance of rain in every season for Israel.  Pray for God’s favor upon Israel, and that the water from heaven will pour out on this thirsty land.

Israel is now making water deals with countries around them and it is going to lead to conflict. Declare this admonishment to Israel from the book of Proverbs:

*Proverbs 5:15-17, “Drink water from your own cistern, and running water from your own well. Should your fountains be dispersed abroad; streams of water in the streets? Let them be only your own, and not for strangers with you.”

--EUROPE HAS BEGUN TO ENACT LAWS AND CONVENE COMMITTEES TO INVESTIGATE ACTS OF ANTI-SEMITISM. BUT, MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION (EU) AND IN INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN NATIONS.

Last year, the number of anti-Semitic incidences rose to a record level in Britain. Jews across Europe are, now more than ever since WWII, warning of this insidious wave. In countries such as Belgium, Holland, Greece, France and Germany, the far-right movements have gained in popularity because of the social tensions over economic issues and immigration policies that have led to austerity programs. These movements have been ever more vocal against the Jews, and often foment actions for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) lobbyists in the EU and capitals of these countries.

Pray for the Lord to protect His people and bring them home from Europe.  Aliyah is needed now!

*Hosea 11:10, “They will walk after the Lord, He will roar like a lion; Indeed He will roar, and His sons will come trembling from the west.”

*Isaiah 11:12 “He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the  dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

Can these same scriptures and nearly sixty more be speaking about the global return of Jews to Israel?
