Israel and the Nations

DECLARATIONS OF GOD’S POWER, STRENGTH, MAJESTY, AND FIRE!

Psalm 68:32-35: “Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth; sing praises to the Lord, Selah. To Him who rides upon the highest heavens of old; behold, His mighty voice resounds. Ascribe the power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose strength is in the skies. You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. Praise be to God!”

Deuteronomy 10:17a: “For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome.”

Zechariah 2:5: “And, I will be to her a wall of fire all around, declares the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst.”

Jeremiah 23:29: "Is not my Word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”

Psalm 46:6: “Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts his voice, the earth melts.”

Psalm 47:2-3: “For the LORD Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet.”

Politically:  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked President Reuven Rivlin for a two week extension in forming his government coalition, which brings the deadline to May 29. The URP (Union of Right-Wing parties), and other ultra-Orthodox parties, along with Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beitenu, are in a logjam. They will not give up on their demands.  

Also, Israel’s Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit insists that on July 10, regardless of what Netanyahu’s lawyers do or say, Netanyahu will have to face an indictment hearing, leading to a trial.

 The pressure on Netanyahu is mounting. Pray for him!

Diplomatically:  Officials in U.S. President Donald Trump’s Administration say they will unveil the long-awaited “deal of the century” peace plan, sometime in June. There are reports that it will be revealed right after Shavuot. Leading up to the unveiling of that plan, there are warnings of an escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Militarily:  Islamic Jihad, which is an Iranian proxy, was responsible for most of the rockets that were launched from Gaza against Israel earlier this month. They are threatening a war with Israel after Ramadan ends on June 4. So, this threat becomes magnified with the prospect of the Trump peace plan being revealed later that week.

In addition, there has been war mongering between Iran and America over U.S. sanctions against Iran. Trump wants the nuclear agreement to die, and is using sanctions to strangle the Iranian economy. European nations are angry with Trump’s interference in the deal. They are looking for ways to get around the sanctions and save the Iranian nuclear deal.

Both the U.S. and Iran seem to be gearing up for a battle, with war ships coming into the Gulf, including into the Straits of Hormuz. Also, U.S. B-52 bombers are, reportedly, flying into Qatar. And, a past delivery of F-35’s into the UAE. The Persian Gulf is getting crowded with U.S. sailors, marines, ships, air support etc. And, Iran is threatening to hit U.S. military forces with missiles.

An experienced Israeli analyst says that a conflict in the Gulf between U.S. and Iranian forces, even if limited, could escalate into a greater conflict between Israeli and Palestinian forces. It could also be the other way around. 

Huge storm clouds are on the horizon – politically, diplomatically, and militarily. 

PRAYERS FOR THE POLITICAL SITUATION IN ISRAEL:

CRAFTED PRAYER:  LORD, YOU CAN SET THINGS IN PLACE IN RECORD TIME. PLEASE UN-JAM THE LOGJAM THAT IS TAKING PLACE RIGHT NOW BETWEEN THE ULTRA-ORTHODOX PARTIES AND YISRAEL BEITENU. AS YOU HAVE REVEALED THE INTENT OF THESE PARTIES AND MEN, WE ASK YOU TO BRING A MIRACULOUS SOLUTION TO THIS STALEMATE. HELP THE POLITICAL NEGOTIATORS FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS MESS. BRING YOUR RIGHTEOUS CONVICTIONS INTO THE HEARTS OF THESE POLITICIANS. MAKE THEM YIELD TO YOUR WILL FOR THIS NEW GOVERNMENT. MAY THERE BE A STABLE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT IN PLACE BY MAY 29^TH. 

WE ASK THAT ATTORNEY GENERAL MANDELBLIT, AND NETANYAHU’S LAWYERS WILL COME TO SOME KIND OF AGREEMENT, SO THAT ISRAEL’S PRIME MINISTER WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE HIS OFFICE, AS HEAD OF THIS GOVERNMENT, AND ALL THAT ENTAILS. WE PRAY THE PRESSURE WILL BE OFF OF HIM, AND HE WILL BE ABLE TO THINK CLEARLY WITH NO CONFUSION. FREE HIM OF ALL TROUBLES, SO THAT HE CAN GOVERN WITH EXCELLENCE. 

PRAYERS FOR THE DIPLOMATIC SITUATION:

WE ASK THAT PEACE WOULD REIGN IN ISRAEL, ACCORDING TO JOHN 14:27, IN YESHUA’S NAME!    

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

PRAYERS FOR THE MILITARY SITUATION – the build-up in the Middle East of U.S. and Iranian forces; the threats of war between those two countries. The threats of war coming from Islamic Jihad in Gaza. 

CRAFTED PRAYER: We pray that this nation and its army will be prepared to deal with any terrorist attacks on its borders. We intercede for a strong Defense Minister, and an equally strong and enduring Israeli society, who will seek the Lord of Hosts, the Commander of the Armies of Israel to defend them. It is You, and You alone, who can wipe out the enemies of this precious sovereign modern state You have established!

Zechariah 9:14: “The LORD will appear over them, and His arrow will go out like lightning. The Almighty LORD will blow the ram's horn and will march in the storms from the south.”

Psalm 18:13-14:  “The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered His voice.
Hailstones and coals of fire. He sent out His arrows, and scattered them, and lightning flashes in abundance, and routed them.”

Isaiah 31:9:  “Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at the sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic," declares the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem.”  “Even the strongest will quake with terror, and princes will flee when they see your battle flags,” says the LORD, whose fire burns in Zion, whose flame blazes from Jerusalem.”

Isaiah 8:9: “Huddle together, O peoples, and be shattered; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for battle, and be broken; prepare for battle, and be dismayed.”

CRAFTED PRAYER:  Use the “battle standard” Lord. Raise Your “banner flags”. Let the commanders of Israel’s enemies flee in panic. Let them be terrified of the “ensign of war” that will accompany Your angelic forces. Let their fortress fall when terror strikes them (not Israel). Let their army officers be alarmed and run in fear because of the “signal flag” that leads Your angelic armies into battle. The Lord has spoken, who is worshipped in Jerusalem; whose fiery furnace is in Zion.

SPECIFIC PRAYERS FOR THE IDF, THE IAF, ISRAEL’S NAVY, AND ISRAEL’S SECURITY SERVICES:

Isaiah 13:3: “I, the LORD, have dedicated these soldiers for this task. Yes, I have called mighty warriors to express My anger, and they will rejoice when I am exalted.”

The Lord God Almighty says about Israel in Jeremiah 51:20:  “You are My hammer; My war club; My weapon for battle; My battle-ax, My sword. With you I shatter nations. With you, I destroy kingdoms.”

God brings kingdoms to ruin.

CRAFTED PRAYER: BUT, LORD, MOST OF ALL, WE ASK FOR DELAY. WE KNOW THAT WARS AND RUMORS OF WAR ARE SPELLED OUT IN THE SCRIPTURES. BUT, WE ALSO KNOW THAT YOU CAN BRING THE GRACE OF DELAY. HAVE MERCY ON YOUR PEOPLE. LET SALVATION REACH ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST POUR OUR YOUR SPIRIT ON MANKIND IN THIS REGION. LET YOUR GLORY FALL ON THIS PLACE. LET REVELATIONS COME IN DREAMS AND VISIONS. HOLD BACK YOUR WRATH ON THE EVIL THAT IS HERE. WE STAND IN THE GAP FOR MERCY!

Ecclesiastes 3:8:  “A time of war, and a time of peace.”  

LORD, WHICH TIME WILL IT BE?

REGARDLESS OF THE SEASON WE ARE IN, WE DECLARE, ACCORDING TO Psalm 125:2: “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.”

PRAYERS OF COMFORT OVER ISRAEL AT THIS TIME:

Isaiah 49:14-16:  “But Zion said, ‘The LORD has forsaken me; the Lord has forgotten me!’ ‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.’ ”

Isaiah 33:2:  “LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.”

And, the Lord gives this encouragement to His people:  

Isaiah 60:1-3: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”

In all ways, please remember Israeli families who have lost loved ones; and for the injured still in the hospital recovering from the battle earlier this week.

Isaiah 40:1:  “Comfort, yes, comfort My people, says your God.”
