SITUATION ANALYSIS -- 178

Jerusalem, Israel

June 27, 2022 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

The current state of the Israeli government is in flux, and vulnerable to backdoor deals and more political upheaval.

In the meantime, this is a test, and other tests are coming, for those who pray and for those who “see” ahead in the Body of Messiah.

It involves our response to the current Israeli political maneuverings. But, also, as global events unfold, it will involve our interpretation of what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church, regarding the times and seasons we are living in.

Will the Body of Messiah be able to agree on the timetable of the Lord’s prophetic word, as conflicts increase in this region and in the world?

Already, there is disagreement and discord among the voices being heard. There are divisions among us. It neutralizes our prayers and intercession when we fall out of agreement, and begin to pray, or even demand, that our opinions be heard.

It’s crucial that we do not take sides in the current political manipulations going on in the Israeli governmental realm; but that we pray, specifically, that a righteous and just government is formed.

We must remain a united force of prayer among the believers in the land, focused on God intervening to “root out” corruption, and “rule in” Godly men and women who serve in positions that will bring stability and Godly standards to the people of Israel.

May this happen whether there are new elections coming or not.

United we stand in the House of God; divided we fall if we allow opinion to dominate our prayers.

There are those among us who fear the division of the land; there are others who fear mass persecution against the believers. Still others who fear an even greater moral degradation of this society, depending on who rules the government. Believers think it depends on who takes office.

Yet, God’s ways are not our ways; neither are His thoughts our thoughts. And, His word says, “Fear not, for I am with you, says the Lord.”

Prayerfully, we will pass this test and future ones. We must walk in humility and gentleness; being patient; bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. It is then that we can corporately ask Yeshua, as one Body and as one in Spirit… to bring His true peace into this current political situation; and into the birth pangs that are, and will be, increasing on the earth.

It's important that we pray for political stability in this time of vulnerability; regional stability during times of wars and rumors of wars; as well as spiritual unity among those who see into the prophetic realm – while continuing to increase the level of intercession, by praying unceasingly.

God is looking for that one united voice of His people here in the land, and we have a choice to walk in it, remembering that the effective prayers of a righteous one avails much!

Yeshua’s words should calm us all when we see things happening on earth, and want to know His mind on matters:

“Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled. Neither let it be afraid.”

Let us not fear, but pray that God’s perfect will be done on earth as it is in heaven… remembering that the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our God, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!

SITUATION ANALYSIS -- 177

Jerusalem, Israel

JUNE 21, 2022 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

SUMMARY:

* Politically:  Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is stepping down, and next week will be replaced by Yair Lapid, who will become interim Prime Minister. Israeli elections are set for November 1, 2022. Lapid who is considered “center-left” will be in place to negotiate with U.S. President Joe Biden when he visits the region, July 13-16, 2022.

* Diplomatically:  Biden will be meeting with Israeli leaders, Palestinian leaders, and Saudi leaders. He will be attending a major Gulf Summit while in Saudi Arabia, gathering with a wide spectrum of regional officials.

If you read between the lines of Biden’s agenda, he will be looking for the U.S. to re-engage in the region, as the main power broker in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Biden will try to launch the foreign policy initiatives of the Obama Administration, with a return to the “two-state solution” formula. This will put renewed pressure on Israel.

As the U.S. makes amends with Saudi Arabia, it opens the door for full public diplomatic relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi’s, however, expect Israel to accept the 2002 Saudi Peace Initiative. This old initiative is based on the “land for peace” formula, and a return to the 1967 indefensible borders. Not good for Israel.

If Biden can, successfully, get Israel and the Palestinians to the “peace table”, with the backing of the Abraham Accord nations, as well as other “moderate” Arab countries, he may think that he can successfully bring about a final end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This attempt at forming a unified Arab diplomatic front will make it very hard for Israel to keep its land united under Israeli sovereignty.

*Militarily:  Already, the Abraham Accord nations, plus Jordan and Egypt, are in alignment with Israel in defense measures against Iranian aggression in the region.

Israel has entered into a defense pact with the United States, initiating the “Middle East Air Defense Alliance,” which has already foiled attempts by Iran to attack Israel and “moderate” Arab nations.

Lebanon is claiming that Israel is robbing its nation of natural gas resources at sea by drilling in disputed territory. Israel denies that the territory is disputed. Sheik Nasrallah’s threats, as the head of Hezbollah, is causing the IDF to prepare for a conflict in the north.

*Current High Alert:  The Israeli government has insisted that Israelis get out of Turkey and cancel plans to travel there. However, Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, is going to Turkey on Thursday, even though there is still the threat of an imminent terrorist attack by Iran on Turkish soil.

Israel may be looking to bring Turkey into the regional defense pact, to protect Israelis, but also to protect Turks. Israel says that it will retaliate in any attempt by Iran to kill Israelis in Turkey, which could put Turks in the crossfire without the security of the defense pact.

The region is heating up again. Israel is vulnerable...

 PRAYER POINTS:

*Regarding the interim Israeli government that will be led by new Prime Minister Yair Lapid, most likely into November 2022, and maybe beyond:

1 Kings 3:9: “So give Your servant a discerning heart to govern Your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?”

*Regarding new Israeli elections slated for October 25, 2022:

Daniel 2:21: “He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”

*Regarding whatever agenda is set for U.S. President Joseph Biden’s visit to the Middle East region in mid-July 2022:

Matthew 10:26: “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed; or hidden that will not be made known.

*Regarding whatever intentions the current Israeli government has, as it enters into alliances that could hurt Israel in terms of its land sovereignty:

Ecclesiastes 12:14: “For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

*Regarding any attempt by the United States, Israel, or regional players, to enter into a “land for peace” formula that would cause a division of God’s land and “indefensible” borders for Israel:

Proverbs 10:9: “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. “

*Regarding “peace, peace, but there is no peace,” including all the peace envoys, ambassadors, diplomats, and advisors from the nations that try to create an atmosphere that is unbiblical and will fail, until the “Sar Shalom,” the “Prince of Peace” comes. Only He will be able to deliver Israel out of all her troubles!

Isaiah 33:5-7: “The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He will fill Zion with His justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.  Look their brave men cry aloud in the streets; the envoys of peace weep bitterly.”

*Regarding the current winds of war that are threatening the region from the north – we cry out to the Lord for Israel’s divine protection. He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4).

Psalm 31:15: “My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies; from those who pursue me.”

JUNE 14, 2022 PRAYER UPDATE

Israel and the Nations

PRAISE GOD THROUGH WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!

Psalm 103:1-5: “Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction. Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Who satisfies our mouth with good things. So, that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

THANK YOU, LORD, FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Acts 2:32-33: “God has raised Yeshua from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this. Exalted to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, and has poured out what you now see and hear.”

PRAYER:

For the Body of Messiah in the land to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER FOR THE GOVERNMENT:

This last week, because of the shaky government coalition, an important bill was not passed. The bill ensures rule and order over the territories in Judea and Samaria – the West Bank – for the Jews living there. For the most part, Palestinians have jurisdiction over their land. But, the Israeli military has special jurisdiction over Jewish land. Therefore, it is necessary to pass the bill in order to continue that oversight.

The current Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, is ailing, and weak – both in his physically being, and in his ability to rule over the Palestinians. This could create a power vacuum in the Palestinian arena, opening the door for Hamas to come in, and with it, more extremism. This could also lead to greater conflict in the territories and in Israel.

PRAYER:

Pray for a Godly breakthrough in regard to Israeli politics that will give Israel a stable government. Pray for a Palestinian leader to emerge who wants true peace with Israel, not based on demands of land for peace. Pray for any conflict within Palestinian politics to be resolved quickly, so that Hamas cannot enter into the crisis in the Palestinian territories (Judea and Samaria) that would cause more turmoil and chaos.

Isaiah 33:5-7: “The LORD is exalted for He dwells on high. He will fill Zion with His justice and righteousness. Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times. And, the strength of salvation. The fear of the LORD is His treasure. But, now your brave warriors weep in public. Our ambassadors of peace cry in bitter disappointment.

Lord, we ask you to deal with the ambassadors of peace, in this land, and internationally – that they would not bring false peace; that confusion would be in their ranks if they try to harm Your land and Your people.

Daniel 2:21: “He controls the course of world events. He removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.”

We intercede for the best and most Godly men to rule over the land of Israel, according to who You, Lord. May your choices be elected for government office of Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Defense Minister, especially.

If there are elections, we pray according to 1 Kings 3:9: “Therefore give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?”

ISRAEL-LEBANON CRISIS:

Sheik Nasrallah’s threats, as the head of Hezbollah, is causing the IDF to prepare for conflict in the north. According to Amos Yadlin, the head of the Institute for National Strategic Studies, and the former head of IDF Intelligence, the arrival of the Greek-British drilling rig, and its placement near the Shark gas field, prior to the start of production, put pressure on the Lebanese system, and was in a disputed sea area between Israel and Lebanon. The threat from Nasrallah is that Israel is going to rob Lebanon’s resources. He would look to prevent the drilling ship from exhausting the gas, which would, ultimately, lead to war with Israel. These threats have already been made by Lebanese President Aoun and Prime Minister Mikati. Lebanon’s claim to the area is not considered legal Lebanese territory, and not acceptable to the U.S. and the international community.

PRAYER:

We need to pray that the dispute between Israel and Lebanon on the maritime border is quickly resolved and settled. Lebanon must cease its threats, therefore, settling with Israel, so that Lebanon can provide their citizens with energy resources for their devastated economy. There are gas reserves in the area of Lebanon which are not in dispute.

If this comes to war, and we pray not, we declare, 1 Samuel 14:12: “So, the men of the outpost called out to Jonathan and his armor-bearer, ‘Come on up, and we will teach you a lesson!’ ‘Follow me,’ Jonathan told his armor bearer, ‘for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel.’ ”

We pray that God will protect Israel from the aggression of Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to Psalm 44:5: “Through You we push back our enemies; through Your name, we trample our foes. I put no trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. But, You give us victory over our enemies. You put our adversaries to shame.”

Psalm 31:15: “My times are in Your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.”

ALIYAH:

Immigration to Israel of thousands of Jews from the Ukraine and Russia continues. The schools to learn Hebrew are full, and they cannot start learning until July. There are other problems for these new immigrants. They are struggling to find good accommodations in Israel, as there is a housing shortage, nationwide. There are not enough apartments available at a suitable price. All new immigrants are finding out how expensive it is to live in Israel right now.

PRAYER:

Pray for a family who escaped during their arduous journey from Mariupol. They had to leave sons, husbands, and fathers behind who are required to fight in the war by the Ukrainian government.

Pray for unifications of families; and, for healing of all those traumatized by fleeing from their homes in the war zone.

Pray for an outpouring of compassion, mercy, and helps by the Israeli government and people in the land to provide housing, humanitarian aid, counseling – whatever is needed at this time, and in the future.

Pray for believers to share the love of the Messiah to those settling in the land, reaching out with all grace, lovingkindness, and care for the new “olim”

Jeremiah 32:41: “I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.”

Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me.”

CONCLUSION:

Aaronic Benediction in the Torah Portion this week:

Numbers 6:24-27: “The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you. And, give you peace. So, they will put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
