DECEMBER 2014 PRAYER
UPDATE
Israel and the
Nations
(Isaiah 49:15-16; Matthew 6:13; 2
Timothy 4:18; Romans 11:36; Daniel 4:27)
·
Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may call for early elections in the next few
days. He is tired of the bickering going on among his coalition members. It
seems that he has not found a way toward reconciliation with Minister of
Finance Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid party). And, this feud might be the cause for
early elections. Netanyahu is afraid that if the current government fails, that
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin may try and form a new government without going
to elections. Rivlin and Netanyahu are rivals despite the fact that they are in
the same political party.
Ask the Lord for His
divine intervention immediately. Pray for peace and calm to come to the current
government coalition. Pray for God’s divine appointed leaders to come forth in
Yeshua’s name! Pray for Godly men and
women to walk the halls of power in the Knesset, the Prime Minister’s office,
the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, etc.
·
Thank the Lord for the new
appointment of Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, as the 21st IDF Chief of
Staff.
He will be
taking over the duties of Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz in February when Gantz completes
his four year term. Eisenkot is well-equipped for this new position with much
experience defending the Jewish State from its enemies. He has been chosen to
lead Israel through complex security challenges in the future.
Pray that God will give
Eisenkot supernatural guidance in how to deal with Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and
potential attacks from jihadists on the Golan Border and in the Sinai.
Intercede for him to receive the Lord’s insights to stop the violence occurring
within Israel due to the conflict with Palestinian terror groups. Pray that
Eisenkot’s plans will be biblical and that his discernment will come from the
Throne Room of Heaven!
·
Entreat the Lord to stop the violent
stabbing attacks that have been occurring almost daily in Jerusalem and the
West Bank (Judea and Samaria). Pray that the police and IDF will be able to
foil these attacks quickly and decisively. Intercede for an extra measure of
protection over Israeli Jewish and Christian residents in the land. Pray that the Lord will thwart the plans of
the enemy and expose all attempts by terrorists who want to hurt civilians.
Declare that no weapon formed against God’s Chosen People will prosper, in the
name of Jesus!
PSALM 33:9-12:
For He spoke, and it was done; He
commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD nullifies the counsel
of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of
the LORD stands forever; the plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom He has
chosen for His own inheritance.”
