JUNE 2, 2020 PRAYER UPDATE
Israel and the
Nations
GIVING THANKS TO
GOD IN THE WORD AND IN PRAYER:
O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You; I will praise Your
name. For You have worked wonders… plans formed long ago in perfect faithfulness.
(Isaiah 25:1).
Lord, whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we do it all
in Your name, Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through You. (Colossians
3:17).
Though the nations around us follow their idols, we will
follow the LORD our God forever and ever. (Micah 4:5).
We always give thanks to God, the Father, for everything, in
the name of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. (Ephesians 5:20).
Let the peace of the Messiah rule in our hearts, for to this
we were called as members of one body... And, we are thankful. (Colossians
3:15).
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory
and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.
Yours, LORD is the Kingdom You are exalted as head over all! (1 Chronicles
29:11).
Isaiah 12:4: “In that wonderful day we will sing: ‘Thank the
LORD! Praise His name! Tell the nations what He has done. Let them know how
mighty He is!’ ”
Colossians 1:12: “And, give thanks to the Father who has
made us fit to receive our share of the inheritance of God’s people in Light.”
PRAYER FOR HEALING
AND PEACE IN THE UNITED STATES: For Minneapolis, Washington D.C., and other
cities, where there are racial tensions, riots, demonstrations, protests,
lootings, burglaries burning of buildings, fires, and all kinds of acts of civil
disobedience and lawlessness:
Rise up, O God, defend Your cause! Remember how the fool mocks You all day long.
(Psalm 74:22).
Lord, we pray that You will take away the anger and
frustration of Americans in these cities; that you will uproot those who are
trying to cause this major upheaval. God, convict the hearts of disobedient
ungodly men and women who are fighting against Your order and who are in
rebellion against Your ways. Deliver them; heal them; bring them into salvation.
May the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit bring a great
harvest. Continue to wake-up the Church to pray for forgiveness of sin in
America. And, as people turn from their wicked ways, may they fall in love with
Jesus, the Messiah!
We put our hope in You! And, we remain confident of
this: We WILL see Your goodness Lord in
the land of the living! (Psalm 27:13).
Oh, Lord GOD, You have made the heavens and the earth by
Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for You! (Jeremiah 32:17).
You have said in Your Word, in Jeremiah 32:27: “I am the
LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?”
Nothing is impossible, difficult or too hard for You, O
Lord, as You are the Master of the Universe!
And, we put our trust in You and You alone!
You can calm the oceans and the great seas. You can also
calm the city streets of the United States!
Lord, they can become cities of righteousness, faithful
cities, when You bring restoration. So, we ask You to restore the hearts of men,
and save them from every form of wickedness and evil. Turn their hearts towards
You, Lord!
Report from
Washington, D.C.:
Demonstrations have been in front of the White House. Also,
St. John’s Church burned. It was considered the church of the presidents.
Gates were put up in front of the Supreme Court and U.S. Capitol
with mega security deployed. The intercessors there are walking the front
sidewalks declaring justice and order to prevail over lawlessness and chaos.
They asked for prayer over the U.S. Capitol, the Secret
Service, Police and Security teams. Pray for the Mayor, as well, who activated
the National Guard and imposed a curfew.
PRAYER FOR U.S.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP:
Trump has the position and the authority to rule the United
States at this time, and we need to pray for him. Our friend in Washington,
D.C. said that the riots there have been targeting the White House. At least 60
Secret Service agents were injured in past days. Trump was taken to the bunker
around 8 p.m. Saturday night. He has been ridiculed for that. He also took a walk
over to St. John’s church on Monday, June 1, with his Bible in hand. This was a
strong statement from the president about the values he shares.
Scriptures to pray
into for Trump:
Psalm 43:1: “Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and
wicked.”
Psalm 38:12: “Those who seek my life lay snares; those who
wish me harm speak destruction, and plot deceit all day long.”
Lamentations 3:59: “You have seen O LORD, the wrong done to
me; uphold my cause.”
PRAYER FOR ISRAELI
PRESIDENT BENJAMIN NETANYAHU IN HIS ON-GOING INDICTMENT TRIAL:
1 Samuel 24:15: “May the LORD be our judge and decide
between you and me. May He take notice and plead my case and deliver me from
your hand.”
Psalm 35:24: “Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my
God, and do not let them gloat over me.”
PRAYER FOR THE NEW
ISRAELI GOVERNMENT:
Already, there are budget cuts in government ministries. At
least 16 diplomatic posts were cut from Israel’s Foreign Ministry by the
Finance Ministry. Some of those diplomats were supposed to be promoted to a
post oversees. This has angered the new Foreign Minister Gaby Ashkenazi.
The annexation issue is still a hot topic. Netanyahu is
trying to bring calm and peace to his political party, Likud (that does not
believe in a Palestinian State), and to the settlers (who are opposed to the
Trump plan because there are settlers in outlying areas of Judea and Samaria
who will be forced to move).
Annexation remains a delicate issue that could start a
Middle East conflict by early July or before. Israeli Defense Minister, Benny
Gantz, has instructed Israeli Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, to
accelerate his preparations for any possibilities that would influence the
region. The Shin Bet and the IDF are planning to hold war games, simulating
responses to annexation, such as a broad wave of violence, increased terrorism,
or war.
One of Gantz’s quotes is troubling for Bible-believers: “President Trump’s peace plan is an
opportunity to set up and promote permanent borders for the State of
Israel.”
Who, but God alone, has the right to set up or promote
permanent borders for Israel?
Netanyahu and Gantz want to strive for peace while
maintaining security, which includes trying to preserve Israel’s peace treaties
with Egypt and Jordan.
A likely scenario is Arab riots on the streets of Arab
countries who oppose annexation, which presents complications for Arab leaders.
Pray for Israeli
leaders to have wisdom in carrying out sovereignty plans. Pray that as they
move forward, God gives strategies to avoid violence, terrorism, or war. Pray
that relationships on a diplomatic level remain in place, and that the enemy
will not be able to affect those relationships, as the annexation plan goes
through, in Jesus’ name!
Romans 12:18: “If it is possible, as far as it depends on
you, live at peace with everyone.”
Romans 14:19: “So then, let us pursue what leads to peace
and to mutual edification.”
COVED-19 UPDATE –
RESURGENCE IN ISRAEL AND THE U.K.
It’s a time of waiting -- inside the cave; outside as the
storm begins to form again; back inside the cave.
It reminds us of waves… rolling in with restrictions;
rolling out with freedoms; rolling in with restrictions again.
The last part of Luke 21:25, into verses 26, 27, and 28 says…
“On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and
tossing of the sea. Yes, the nations will be in turmoil, dismayed, distressed,
because of the roaring of the sea, the surging of the waves, the strange tides.
People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is
coming on the world, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
But, THEN, we will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with
power and great glory.
The Word says, that when these things begin to take place,
straighten up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
The Word also says in Luke 21:34 that we must be careful, or
our hearts will be weighed down with the anxieties of life, and a trap. So, be
always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about
to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.
The Lord Almighty is teaching us how to watch, wait, and
pray....
So, I declare to You Lord, that I wait for You; my soul waits. And, in Your
Word, I put my hope. (Psalm 130:5).
Jesus, You told Your disciples a story about how they should
keep on praying and never give up. (Luke 18:1). So, we do this now… We pray,
and we won’t give up, until salvation and deliverance comes for the whole
world!
